Branding jokes aside, the Dell Streak looks to be a valiant attempt to not only create a new market segment, but define it as well. The 5" (Gorilla Glass coated) ...
I owned a Dell Streak earlier this year.... Absolutely miserable phone.
Charging port was fragile, the boot time was measured in MINUTES, heavy,
Extremly low pixel density hurt my eyes, terrible anteneas, bad software,
and the LCD broke not the glass.... THE LCD. AND IT WAS IN MY POCKET.
Yeah. The KitKat roms were phenominal and the Lollipop ones are getting better, but the stock based roms are just outstanding. I use the G4 stock with root and Xposed and it's absolutely great. The G2 when it came out of hands down the fastest phone out there. Also the G2 has well documented scren reliablility issues, but a year on the jobsite as an electrician without a case and it's fine. Love it, but will be selling it when a new impressive 6+ inch phone comes out cause I do miss that about my HTC.
+Jeff Jones yeah I've only heard good things about that phone, great for custom roms and stock roms and surprisingly powerful for its age! I was so close to getting the G2 but chose the G Flex for the self healing properties and the flexibility for my industrial, hand on type of work. Wish I'd gone for the G2. Running and S5 now. Im aware of yhe bad rap samsung get for the custom skin but jm Very happy with the phone in a whole!
+Tobias Bennett Yeah. I was running CyanogenMod 12.1 on my G2, but it was so appalling that a switched to the G4 stock rom and I forgot how good the G2 is. Still amazingly good. and one hell of upgrade from my old beloved HTC One Max
+Jeff Jones oh right aha, sounds like many other phones that tried to look and be unique but focused entirely on astetics rather than hardware. However the LG G Flex was incredible when i had it. Still running 4.4 like butter. Ans the sony xperia z is running the lastest 5.1 android with no trouble. Some phones are just so much better than others
+Tobias Bennett The Streak 5 even back then the Streak was awful. Using an LG G2 now which is shockingly larger. Literally had to wait minutes for it to load to be introduced by Android 1.6...... or you can root it for 4.0 its completely unusable. Hands down worst phone ive ever has the displeasure of owning.
+Jeff Jones just was curious really. I own many phones from the past to be honest. Just interesting to see them develop. Didn't mean to be rude if I seemed it.
I just got a galaxy (previously had iphone) and I miss the iphones calender
and podcast apps. Also siri is much better, my family has unusal names and
I used to be able to say 'call my sister', samsung can't seem to do this.
I do like samsung's microSd ability, wish my iphone had that.
Privacy settings on iOS 7 allow you to block apps from taking your
location, mic, pictures, contacts and camera already. When you first open
the app and it wants to use these things it asks you
they are anywhere from $140US up to $350 USD , IMO reasonable priced for a featured 3+ year old phone. Some places try to sell them for $700 stil though so beware. Im looking at getting one in Australia for less than 200.

@map250r Thank you for your comments. One of the best features of the
material is when it gets dirty all you do is wash with mild soap and water
- then allow to dry fully - and it works like new all over again. You will
probably still have it by the time Iphone 67 is released :-). Come to
kickstarter and support us so we can make this a reality. Cheers!!
@reminiDave Thanks for your comments sir - We have a lot of questions for
those 2 phones and I am working on an update for those phones and phones
like that. Please visit our kickstarter page for updates and help us spread
the word. Cheers!!
Will it stick on the textured back of a Galaxy SII? (in horizontal
position, within the space between the camera and the hump) Same question
for the Galaxy Nexus. With timelapses abilities of ICS it would be a
perfect match!
This looks awesome! However, I can't help but wonder how well it works in
the presence of dust, and how long it lasts. If it can hold a phone firmly
even after a year of use as a car mount, you will sell a ton of these.
@munchy4prez Thanks for the question - Capta will not leave any residue on
the back of your phone... You should come support us on Kickstarter - We
have 5 days remaining :-) Search for "Capta" on kickstarter
@reminiDave - We just uploaded a video showing Capta with the Galaxy SII..
take a look .. please visit our kickstarter page to help us make Capta a
