5 little tricks you probably didn't know your Android smartphone could pull off
If you don't know how already, then we'll key you in on how to banish unwanted contacts to the voicemail zone, soft-reject calls, make use of the Android ...
Really. This is a joke... first one is just boring. It's not anything
"cool". Next one, quick replies have been around for years, absolutely
nothing new and it's commonly already set up. Really? Who "creates" they're
own words with friends for amusement. I've never heard of people doing that
besides kids in grade school/elementary school, maybe junior high
school/middle school. If you have your own way of speaking and typing
that's something completely different. It doesn't require going into a
dictionary though. Most keyboards can instantly be taught or be smart
keyboards that automatically learn words. Stuff like swype, fleksy,
Touchpal, along with many others and have their own dictionaries built into
the keyboards that will learn and grow overtime as you use the keyboard
more and more. Next one, I don't know why a website would prefetch
information. That's a horrible feature. It just destroys data limits as 90%
of the world with smartphones is on data limits. It's one thing if it
stores cookies so it can easily pull up information from the past. Just
another reason not to use Chrome. One of the biggest RAM and battery
killers across any and all platforms. Also showing owner info on lock
screen really does no help if you don't have your phone so your phone can't
be called to get ahold if you if you forget it. That's why something like
Find my iPhone on iOS. Lose a phone? From any other iOS devices find my
iPhone app or even from the iCloud website you can instantly mark the
device as lost and put a notification on the lock screen that will show
information on who to contact to give the phone back when it's actually
needed. At least have helpful facts. Not common sense type of stuff.
"all calls to voicemail" neglects to mention Marshmallow doesn't have a
"spam" call option. You still have to create a contact (of course, you call
it "Spam Calls") then for each new spam caller, you have to add that number
to your spam contact. Tedious. Given the way spam callers work these days
(ruthless) it would be useful to have this option. Also, their computers
now realize if you immediately ignore their call, and then they call
straight back. Try it. Let a spam caller ring out without doing anything
and they don't call back. But if you immediately ignore/reject, they
realize "someone real is at that phone number" and they call you again with
an hour or so. Really annoying. Thanks to all the "loyalty" retailers that
sell phone numbers to spam "partner offers" robo-dialer companies for 1
cent.
In updating to the Nexus 6P, I wanted to not get into the "there's an app for that" syndrome. On my last phone, a Samsung, I ended up with an app for bloody everything -- I'd go away for a weekend a come back to find "116 updates" ... : )I'm okay with just having the "Spam" contact workaround, but I thought it worth mentioning for others and I'm still not clear on how the big Goog can't have a feature of "block this caller" (much as they do on youtube even ... : )
I just got the note 5 today and the auto restart is not an option. I heard
it has to do with what company you have. mine is under version, is there
anything I can do to fix that?
No, you need an unblocked/international version which you can demand from your carrier but since you already have yours it probably wouldn't make sense to get another phone.
My sprint Note 5 does not have the ability to go into the Raw camera mode
(greyed out)
no matter what resolution I choose for the rear camera, Am I missing
something or is it disabled from my carrier.
iOS is a stunningly fantastic mobile operating system, but an increased set of features makes some a little bit harder to find—some, nearly impossible. This video ...
