Buy a new one with a 3 year warrantee. It's so much better not stressing
yourself out on cheap mass production tvs from far east countries that we
buy from. Where's made in America!

I have a Panasonic TC-P42S30 and last week replaced the SS (part
# TNPA5350AD) board and repaired the SN board (part # TNPA5349) using the
components in the repair kit. The TV powers on great now - but the image
looks washed out or over-saturated. It is certainly possible that there is
a bad solder connection in my rework - but I wanted to get feedback on the
coloring issue. Would this issue be caused by the SN board or should I look
somewhere else?
+Andres Tamez Try this at your own risk. Just make sure all the mosfets are not shorted and there are no holes in the IC chips. Thanks! www.shopjimmy.com
+ShopJimmy.com Thank you for the quick reply. What do you specifically recommend to double check? I've checked there is no longer a short on Vc. Tonight I plan to reapply solder paste and make sure all the components solder correctly. Are there any other impedances or devices I should check? Any voltages I should measure at test points?
+Andres Tamez Be sure to double check everything on the SN board, even the solder joints. You can also check the SS board for shorts. Thanks! www.shopjimmy.com

+JacksJunkDotCom if you use a proper rework airflow gun, then no. its not an issue. do NOT use a cheapo paint stripper gun, as many peeps on youtube suggest, you'll destroy the board if you do.

+Thomas Storm got the regulator, installed today, you the man. may i donate to your support when it sells? PM me. thanks. funny story for all to learn. i fired this up. went to program in the AIR as i dont have cable. as it was programming i installed the back. a minute later smoked pored out the back. big time. SHUT DOWN. removed the cover fired up again all good. POINT IS, always clean the boards after reworking.
Hi Tampatec. first off thanks for the vids. i have watched all of them over
time. i also refresh when i have an issue like now. The Fizio board you are
working on here is from a vo47l, or close to it. It looks the exact same.
Question. all caps are replaced. the cap blown in the vid must be a common
problem. I have stanby volts and less than 1 volt going through the 24v
lines, 0 v turned off. it comes out of standby but does nothing else. the
relay is clicking.
i tested the bridge rect and it tests good. what video do you recommend for
further testing or what parts would you test next?
TIA thanks stormy, student extraordinaire
I have one of those dreaded VIZIO's. A 22". It will not come on. It's
acting like it has no power. It was made in 2008. I opened it up and it has
no serviceable fuse like the ones in the video. It has a little black
square one. I Ohmed it and it's good. Can you give me any idea where to
check next or point me to a video that might show me?? It hasn't been used
very much at all. In fact it hasn't been used in over a year. I just got it
and plugged it in to make sure it would work. It came on, I turned it back
off and unplugged it. When I was gonna use it the other day and put it
where I would be using it, I plugged it back in and NOTHING!! No lights, no
click, nothing. Please HELP!!
+Jerry Cartwright Also, I've looked and can't see anything wrong with either of the boards. Anything like you point out in the videos anyways. Nothing burned, shorted or nothing bulging. Again, thanks.
Hi, I have a Toshiba LCD TV model no.40CV700E. My tv is turn on but there's
no picture or sound. there is no backlight too. Can you help me to trouble
shoot whats wrong with it. Hope you can help. Thank You.
Tampatec, i would appreciacte your help. I found a kdl-40vl130 next to my
buildings trash bin. It looks like its in good condition. I powered it up,
the green light stays on. The back light turns on. The lcd doesn't look
damaged But there is no video and no audio. Could it be the main board?
Thanks in advance.
MY Samsung LCD TV model: LN52A750R1F, keep turn on and off, with red light
blink 7 times. Back light is on but dont see any image, I am not sure that
there is any sound as there is No response when using remote control to
switch channels, I dont hear any sound. I want to know if it is the problem
of T-con or main Board
unplug tcon board then turn on tv if tv stays on then replace the tcon board. but samsung tv turns on off can be bad capacitors in power board and main logic board. good luck
Hey man! My mixtape isn't released yet, but If you click on my channel you can see covers. I have 3 posted so far. My rap god cover was a little off due to asthma complications, but world wide choppers was a lot better, and no love was damn good if I do say so myself.
Quick question... If a capacitor it suppose to measure 47 uF and my meter
measures like almost 2,000 uF from that capacitor instead 47 uF does that
mean that the capacitor is bad as well?
Reason for my question is because it already happened to me when I was
measuring my ps3 power supply board and all the capacitors measured pretty
closed according to each range in each one of them but except the only one
that I'm mentioning above.
I'll wait for your response
Thanks in advance
Regards
take cap out of circuit and read it, check meter settings and put in fresh batteries in meter too then check it again, but when in doubt change it out. ps3 usually main board goes out first.
