Hey nice video I am German/American (raised in Germany) and while I was
working in Japan for a year :D I recognized a lot of overlaps between
languages. For example the Japanese word アルバイト / バイト is a loan word in
German it means work (not just part-time. And there are alot of German/
Germannic words in the english language because its roots are a mix of
Latin and Germannic.
Since I speak Arabic, I have searched for some other words that found their
way into English:
(Cornea/adobe/alchemy/alcohol/amber/camphor/candy/cumin/Carat/caraway/carob/chemistry/cipher(zero)/coffee/cotton/curcuma/camel/divan/elixir/emir/gazelle/ghoul/giraffe/hashish/hazard/jasmine-jar-jerboa-lemon-lilac-monsoon-mummy-Mirror-mean-octopus-prairie-saffron-tamarind
and many more.
Man i am the preach so you help me very much because i want to preach every
were not only in South Africa all nations, thank you man my language is

and what about novela, macho, taco, latino... and so on? well, your spanish
is not that i wish you could study it more, i think will be easier for you

another word of Arabic origin is "Algorithms" which was derived from the
name of the Iraqi mathematician who first introduced Algorithms .. his name
was "Abo Mossa Algoritmi" .. he also the one who introduced Algebra and the
Zero ..
what about the word TAO, I don't really understand why Americans pronounce
this with D at the beginning...we pronounce it with T, of course....and
Buddha also, without an "h" in the middle of the word...Thanks

This is an interesting video! :) I think there's an English word called
Boondocks derived from a Filipino word "Bundok" meaning mountain. haha..

A nice example for that is the word prohibited (latin based) / forbidden
(germanic) as verboten (German) verboden (dutch) all came from the same
roots :)
