And the mustard question is a question I received before and here is the answer:If you don't use mustard, you're going to have to fool yourself into thinking whatever condiment you do prefer IS mustard. For Example: If you replace mustard with mayonnaise, you just have to imagine it's mustard so you can eat the sandwich. *If you don't use any condiments, pick another ingredient on the sandwich and imagine it's mustard.

you're being a bit antagonistic and overly obvious. yes there were foods placed between layers of baked wheat product ( a falafel is a great example) however if you actually look it up the Earl of Sandwich was the fist person to put meat cheese and lettuce between two slices of baked bread. Look it up or don't it's not my story I'm just relating what I've learned in history class. Specifically he did it so he could keep playing cards with one hand while eating dinner with the other.

You idiot.  The Earl of Sandwich is just a title.  The first sandwich probably existed during the height of the Roman empire when cheese-dipped bread was all the rage, and it was less likely to burn your fingers if you dipped only one face of the bread in the cheese and then covered it with another piece of bread.
