Homelessness in Hawaii is mainly a problem on Oahu

It depends on the island, it might sound strange but the lifestyle varies from island to island. On Maui at least for me growing up here Ive never really seen any homeless people, it was rare, but over time I've see the amount of homeless people increase. (Not sure if it's true, but I've been told that someone sends their homeless people into Hawaii for some reason. I feel like spreading the homeless won't change the fact or decrease homelessness and our country should definitely work on that along with other systems that fail (gun control, education, Animal agriculture, etc.)

Hawaii is much more like a 3rd world country than most of the US. There are large homeless encampment communities on the beach with children being raised there. The line between rich and poor is very obvious. If you are going to be homeless though, Hawaii is the place to do it (and I did meet people who came to Hawaii knowing that they would be homeless, so they found enough money to get to HI).

Hawaii isn't some magical place. it's just like any other state. it's got its poor and rich people. life is exactly the same as everywhere else in America.

comfort eating is exactly how I grieved for my boyfriend who passed away. unfortunately, I put on two stone in the matter of 4 months! I am currently trying to get that weight off, which is never easy as you can imagine!

Argh!! Stop being so hard on yourself. I would have jacked the whole thing in if I had had all that going on! Xx
