Can I hange the bananas into something else? I know I can just leave them out, but they do have a effect..?

+Emelie Robinson if you leave them out it won't change much except for taking away a bit of sweetness and creamy texture. you'll notice the stickiness of the caramel more without the banana. freshly sliced strawberries would probably be a good substitute. blueberries and/or raspberries sprinkled on top of the cream would be good too. i think the tartness of berries would go well with the rich caramel.
