I used to buy pre-mixed hodduk package from Korean supermarket but after trying Maangchi's recipe, I'm not any more. Thanks for sharing! I took an innovative step and instead of the filling you mentioned, I did mine with some shredded cheese and some sliced mushrooms. I then cooked it as normal, then topped it with some tomato sauce I had left over from the pizza I made a few days ago. It was surprisingly pretty good!

I made these today! They were great - but I also had to knead the batter quite a lot before filling them - and the contents did get out on the pan. Then again, I'm a newbie at cooking away from home, without my mother's help. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

@theelectronicfeel I believe that you shouldn't serve them because it should melt. If you want to, you could try to scrape the burnt part off of the bread and try again but they should melt... Did you put a lot of oil in the pan?

I made these yesterday and my family loved them. They taste exactly like gorditas only sweet. And instead of for i made 8 with this recipe they werent as big as yours but they were still really good. Thank you and ^^

i saw maangchi's video and it seemed that she used brown sugar in her dough but you used white sugar, so my question is does it matter what kind of sugar you use for the dough?

have you read the book? becaus eI read the book first and got a movie (probobly scenes from the non animated show) and was verry confused with the dvd of it I got.
