Great vid !
I find AWS services really hard to integrate to a web app, their
documentation is huge and not very well organized, so tutorials like this
are very appreciated ^_^
The issue we faced when using cors file upload to S3 is security issue : by
using the same aws credentials for all users, they all have access to all
files. A user could easily trick the javascript to see other files in the
bucket. So we needed to use AWS IAM service, create an aws account for each
new user, create new credentials for each user and finally use IAM policies
for each uploaded file :)
Another issue we are facing now is that IAM service is limited to a max of
5000 users :|
Keep posting ! :)
+Youssef Tourki Hi Youseff, thanks for watching! I agree that the documentation for AWS can be difficult to navigate!I haven't yet had to deal with that security issue as the projects I've worked on have allowed the images to be for public consumption. Thanks for posting about this issue! Good thing to keep in mind when considering S3 for storage.
