PVC is illegal for pressurized water distribution inside the house in NC.
It cannot go past the foundation/wall from outside, because it's rated for
cold water only. It's OK for drain/waste and vent piping. CPVC is approved
for hot and cold piping. The well water in my area of NC is acidic, and
copper is rarely used.Type L copper won't last 15 years without treating
the water.
