This was near the start when I didn't know how to control the contractions,
you get more used to it, lol. The gas - didn't help at 1st but the
diamorphone injections certainly helped, I took the gas again near the end
but that was all. He was a big boy but he was long so he carried his weight
well haha. The pain goes away so is well worth it, plus you can choose
stronger pain relief methods so not that bad and now my wee boy is nearly 2
and is amazing, I will defo do it again! xx
@imalittlechicky it can be different for everyone. some women have back
labour, where they feel a lot of it in their backs. for me, contractions
were the most intense pain... that radiated down my thighs and all around
my stomach. it isnt the kind of pain you can really explain, or even
imagine. it's a great experience though!!! haha
I hated the gas at 1st, made me so dry, so I just went without for ages,
then I got a diamorphin injection, that was good. I ended up using gas in
the last hour of labour as I just needed all pain relief I could get,
ouchy! lol.
@shirleyann1983 OMG, wasnt it too difficult when you delivered? 9.5 is a
heavy baby! Salute on mums who need to go through all this. i need mental
strength as my time 4 delivery is nearing! :)
