In this video I'll be showing you how to use cruise control. Not all cars have this feature, but it comes in handy if you are driving long distances and your legs are ...
Thanks Alex for your very informative video. I would like to buy a car for
a leg disabled person. What do you advise? Is an ordinary cruise control
car enough, I mean she does not want to use the pedals at all? Please your
response will be well appreciated. Thanks
+Abduljeleel Osunkunle Hi Abduljeleel, I can not find a specific agency. You can look around in your country or call the company where you want to get the car from and ask for advice. Hope it helps!
Thanks so much Alex for the information. The only adjustment required is for the foot pedal (brakes and gas). I am in the Netherlands for study and I want to send the car in question to Nigeria. Please do guide me on how I can find any agency around to do make thses adjustments. Regards.
+Abduljeleel Osunkunle If you buy the car, it has to be altered to fit the needs of the individual who will be driving it. All the modifications should comply with all federal and environmental laws, and should be carried out by an authorized agency. If you are in need of a car for disability driving, you need to have certain modifications done to the vehicle. The modifications will of course vary depending upon your disability, but below are some requirements you should follow.1. Get an automatic transmission2. The shifter should not have a button on it. There should be a feature that enables you to move the shifter easily3.Make sure the car has power steering, power windows, power locks and power seats4. If you are in a wheelchair, you need to have enough room, and there should be some sort of lift to get the wheelchair into the vehicle5. Seat belts should be recessed6. Install hand grips inside the vehicle7. Install a leg lifter if you need help to get your legs into the vehicle8. Install a transfer board to use to transfer yourself from the wheelchair and the seat9. If unable to use foot pedals, the car needs hand controls for both the brakes and the gas10. There should be a push button ignition for those with weakness of the hands. A touch screen is a good addition to control the signals, lights and wipers.I hope I helped with this information!-Alex

Cruise control works fine if the road is level or uphill. However, I always
exceed the speed limit on a downhill run. CC uses the accelerator, but
never applies the brakes. Is this a technical problem that no genius can
solve?
