Great recipe. Here's what I would use to make it twice as healthy.
1. Substitute the vegetable / canola oil for coconut oil
2. Instead of good quality raw coco use raw cacao powder
3. You can use coconut sugar instead of raw sugar as well
4. You can use unsweetened almond milk instead of soy milk
I'm not a big fan of peanut butter. I would use walnut butter instead of
peanut butter or leave it out completely and follow another recipe for the
icing or simply top it with fresh fruit - Strawberries, kiwis and bananas
are great. Though bananas have the highest sugar content here.
Unfortunately I doubt it will taste very good:( As much as I am all for
healthy treats I think this has been done many times and nothing beats the
real thing. I think moderation with the good stuff works best rather than
binging on something lighter because it has less calories many think oh wow
now I can eat 3x as much.

You can whisk it with a whisk but you have to do it for a very long time, and you will surely build some muscles and if it's not mixed for long enough, it won't fluff up that much, you can even use a hand mixer.

I tried to do this cake.Didnt pay to much attention to the cooling part of
the bavarian cream and put cold whipping cream to warm chocolate cream .It
completely destroyed the filling of the cake.It pissed me off so bad...
Ok.gelatin saved the cream eventually so i made the cake.But, i baked the sponge cake for 45 minutes ,the toothpick came out clean.The sponge cake wasn't very good although the toothpick came out clean , inside the cocoa had been too dark and concentrated.It was like a pizza dough.I will increase the baking time to 50 or 55 minutes to see if it makes a difference.

Yes definitely! Just make sure to soak the powdered gelatin in cold water (1/2 cup of water for the Bavarian Cream, 1/4 cup for the glaze), for approximately 10 minutes, and melt over simmering water. Thanks for using VideoCulinary! :) Daniella

+sehrish Habib I used freshly brewed coffee. Make yourself a cup of coffee as you usually do in your home, then you will use 1/2 a cup of that. The strength of coffee I use is just normal as I use daily. Whatever you make at home just use that and you will be fine.
