Hi, I have a problem with my steering (video on my profile) following a
crash and I had to replace an axle. The dog bone pops out and the steering
is very poor. Do you think this is a servo issue? thanks
+The RCAddict thanks, think the spring might be missing on the end of the dogbone (not at wheel end). I've also ordered the servo saver kit as I think it might be broken. Thanks for your help.
+iceman Hmm, what about the spring though? I am not really sure what that means, but the servo saver can slip over, but that would only cause the wheels to be stuck in one direction. The servo is most likey perfect after only 30mins. I ran mine for like 6 hours and only replaced it to have a more precise one. Also the servo really won't have any effect on the dogbones..?
+The RCAddict hi, thanks for the quick response. I did however replace the small o ring also. Ive seen something about a servo reset? Is that possible. Im thinking about just upgrading the servo, however this car has only been used for about a total time of 30 mins so servo should be fine?
+iceman Hmm, I think I might know why. When the dog bone is out, look inside the pots of the axels. On one side (inner) there should be a spring and the other should be a little red O ring. I think one or both of those might have fallen out, and without them the bone is too lose and comes out. I have had it happen, as the things are so small and easy to lose, but cheap to replace.
Looks awesome, those tires look great on it! The video makes those super
swampers look pretty small, but they're actually pretty big aren't they?
Pretty sweet truck, looks like a lot of fun.
Really?? I had no idea, thanks! That makes it so much simpler to use these smaller tires instead of modding to fit RPM 3.2" wheels, I should try some for my rc8.2e! Awesome. :)
+utrak Well these are the 2.8, which you'd usually put on a Stampede so that's why they look small I guess. Their diameter is about the same as that of 1/8 buggy tire. While driving the feel small as well. The truck very planted, but not as many flips and wheelies. I'm still happy with the truck, but it's sooo heavy lol it's heavier than my Vorza, which is quite a porker.

+son8god8damn No, but is is not kind to the motor... I have killed 2 and melted the solder off the connections a couple of time before doing so....To be honest...having now upgraded to the mini 8ight.... i would not run lipo in the dromida... the drive train is not efficient / open enough to really benefit.. buy a couple of good NiMH and a good charger... enjoy it for what it is.
+son8god8damn Search "lipo low voltage alarm" on Ebay you can get them from under £2 delivered from China

Well if you want to go with the full $150, Dromida just released a brushless version of these RC vehicles! Not sure if you can actually buy them yet but we got a press release on it about a week ago or so. If you want to go with $100 go for the Dromida Brushed vehicles then upgrade to brushless later.
