. *130 hp!!* Is this some kind of a joke? *Inb4 but it's 2200 lbs!* Do the math, power to weight ratio. This gives you about the *same power/weight ratio as an econobox* Mazda3... *inb4 this isn't a muscle car.* Please... in today's standards, even 300 hp would be laughable as a muscle car. Trust me, the *MX-5 has A LOT of leeway before it reaches "muscle" status.* Mazda needs to stop pussifying this car. This isn't 1990 anymore... The BRZ/FRS got bashed for being a joke at 200 hp. This car is going to be even more of a joke at 130 hp. *This isn't a sports car. This is an open top lightweight golf cart with a lawnmower motor posing as a sports car*

I don't drive cars to race a diesel golf around some roundabouts. You'd see me with other MX5 owners, enjoying the joy of driving around some b-roads.

My stock 99 Integra has 10 more hp! Cool Mazda, but I'd rather rake out an extra 10k for a performance package, if they make one.

Stats on the ST is actually incorrect. It has 252hp and 270tq. in US spec, British version is even less. And a tuned car vs. a stock car is hardly a "comparison". A tuned Stage 3 Focus would smokes that Miata

+Henrique Ikeda  niether cars are "stock", the Focus here has the Mountune pack fitted (MP275 - 275PS/270BHP) and is a dealer option here in the UK. You tick it on the options list and it doesn't affect your warranty.
