Rambo III is an American action film released on May 25, 1988. The film depicts fictional events during the Soviet war in Afghanistan. It is the third film in the ...
The crappiest film I have ever seen. Rambo goes to Afghanistan to fight for
the terrorists against 'Russian bastards'. Fuck you, Stallone! You and your
lying movies! Fuck you, the USA! The Russians were right, you lying
scumbags!
+John Smith Do you want to sort it out with me, you daft cunt?! Say it to my face! Give me your phone number, you fucking scumbag! I'll fucking bray you! I'll break your fucking jaw and knock you into tomorrow, you fucking scumbag! I don't give a shit who you are! I'll fucking do you!
Oh cmon mate, don't be so hard on them. They had to wake up those meat bags gulf war was on his way, old Sam needed recruitments. They have done it alright to what we see everyday on the news, civil wars, governments come and go, holy warriors, refugees drowning in the Mediterranean Sea... Giving my fingers to their work so far....
well of you think about it MGS3 Snake Eater followed the Rambo movies too a little bit. Surviving in the wilderness, the cave part before and after beating The Pain, climbing the ladder to get out of the cave. First your in a vast jungle, then before you know it your in desert mountains like in Ranbo 3.
The original VHS release of this 1988 movie had in the end credits: "This
film is dedicated to the brave Mujahideen fighters in Afghanistan" but
later changed to "This film is dedicated to the gallant people of
Afghanistan." After the fighters the US funded with arms, training and
supplies to drive the Soviets out of their country later turned against
each other in a civil war in Afghanistan and then later to fight against
the USA that gave them arms for their liberation. Ingrates.
Critics say that the US should have continued to fund Afghanistan after
their civil war ended in 1992 to rebuild their country, but it was still a
chaotic mess of militias and petty warlords still fighting over control
after the communist government fell.
+Daniel Ryan Yes, the US supplied the rebels in Astan with weapons to fight the Soviets, but that entangles us with the region. I suggest that the entanglement is minimal as we give weapons to pretty much anybody. Some assert that this entanglement links us strongly with the region, but that's like France being responsible for how things develop in the USA after the American rebels win their revolutionary war in 1783. We got lots of French weapons, supplies, naval support and even French troops to help us drive the British out from their new world colonies, but that does not mean that France is responsible for the fortunes of the post-war colonies, although France would have an interest in maintaining a good alliance and relationship with the new government that the rebels may set up. It gets complicated. That's why US President George Washington stressed in his farewell address to avoid foreign entanglements.
+Bat Guano the problem is the Mujahadeen were never really this valiant army of guerilla warriors the US imagined them to be. They were a collection of tribal militias lead by corrupt warlods with only the loosest possible affiliation with each other, and all with different ideas about what they wanted and how to go about it. The US never made an attempt to bring about some sort of organization and reconciliation between all these factions-they just focused on arming them to drive out the Soviets, and then once the Soviets were gone the US pretty much just washed its hands of Afghanistan and left them to their own devices. Not all America's fault, but there was a definite lack of foresight and long term planning.
+JohnTheGreat7822so the people in poland isn't a reliable source? Even living there for 20 years?"Half of poland"so i didn't know i was talking to a racist,
+JohnTheGreat7822"Poland was independent 1947-now."ROFL, you must not be Polish, and an obvious troll. so when did you go to eastern europe and lived there? especially during the 80s
+JohnTheGreat7822So why were people shot and killed crossing the border in their own country? And why did Russia rule half of Eastern Europe? Why did Russia steal land from Poland? Why did Russia have military in Poland, and Poland didn't have any independence till the late 80s?Obviously you didn't go to a university to learn history.
+JohnTheGreat7822by your logic, you divert attention from talking about germany? So explain to me why germany which is a country would divide itself in half?
+JohnTheGreat7822there was no german government after ww2And why was people getting shot at the wall for going into west germany? And why did Reagun tell the Soviets to remove the wall, if it was germans government?
+JohnTheGreat7822obviously you didn't live in Eastern Europe for the last 40 years."independent country"if it was independent, why did they build a wall seperating Germany from western germany which was independent?
+JohnTheGreat7822"East Germany was a puppet state to the Soviet Union"Maybe you should go to school. Because East Germany was owned by the Soviet Union, that isn't an example of a country being influenced.
+taledarkside What are you, trolling? You would rather the USA be the number 1 seller of WMDs for the whole world? Seeing how well it turned out when the US gave away arms to Afghan heroin warlords and wacko religious fundies, as well as nerve gas to Saddam Hussein that just made everything peachy, right? And Russia has the economy of Italy, so you can put that boogeyman back under in your covers.
+Bat GuanoSo what you are saying is people can't protect themselves from Russia? But it is okay for Russia to be the number 1 supplier of WMD for the entire world.
+taledarkside The hell is wrong with you? I don't justify killing innocent people. You use it as an excuse to kill more innocent people by spreading greater conflict. But flooding conflict zones with weapons has brought about more chaos and destruction instead of blunting aggression.
+taledarkside No, but if you want your country to imitate everything evil that the worst, most belligerent countries do, then enjoy your nightmare existence of infantile brinkmanship.
+taledarkside And America is not responsible for arming these Eastern European militaries even though delusional warmongers fantasize about arming Eastern Europe and waging a ground war against Russia in order to end the Cold War in the way they would have preferred.
+taledarkside Because handing out weapons to every lunatic group spreads chaos, perhaps? We armed the Mujahs and some of these maniac ingrate bastards lashed out against us. The Taliban in Afghanistan gave sanctuary to anti-American Al-Qaeda terrorists who then planned out their attacks that resulted in 9/11. Morons like John McCain and Lindsey Graham don't learn, either and they still insist on arming "moderate Muslims" in Syria to fight Assad and ISIS, but nobody knows what's what in that confused charnel-house. And some people just want to arm everybody to fill the world with proxy wars to fight against whatever perceived enemies they hate.
+Sabbra Cadabbra And the US supplied the Afghan Mujahideen to fight the Soviets and Russian-supported Afghan government. We also armed and supplied terrorist groups like the Nicaraguan Contras, El Salvadorean death squads and also supported innumerable dictators to fight communism or support US industries.
+Bat Guano The Taliban was largely armed and funded by the Pakistani ISI which used the Taliban to create a regime in Afghanistan that would be favorable to Pakistan. Up to 9/11 there were thousands of Pakistani nationals that fought with the Taliban which were recruited from Pakistani madrassas.
+taledarkside They have done that since the western countries supplied Israel with weapons. Iraq, Syria, Egypt, etc. were heavy recipients for Soviet weapons. Syria continued to be a major purchaser of Russian weapons after the Soviets went belly-up and the Cold War ended. For the Russians, weapons are significant sources of income from export sales. Well, people certainly aren't buying their cars.
