I use to have my setting set to very low to get at most 25 fps during lane
and like 15 during team fights. Then I did a factory reset on my computer
and got a cheap 30$ GPU and upgraded my shitty slow single core CPU to a
quad core CPU that runs quite fast and now I get 55-65 fps in lane and
35-45 fps in team fight on high settings. So if you want to get good fps
you will have to spend a bit of money but it's well worth it. c:
You can only play LoL in desktop mode which works just like any other computer. But you can play any other steam game on steam mode and also desktop mode. The steam mode is only for steam, that's the only thing you can do with it. But if you have the steam client downloaded on the desktop mode then you can play steam games there too. Hope this helped!

+CrossbowBeta Indeed. There seems to be a common misconception that mouse acceleration is always bad.On the contrary, it can be very useful and really improve gaming skills. Yes, the definition here is correct, move the mouse faster and you get additional distance for the cursor. This is sometimes exactly what one wants to accomplish. It means, for example, that in a shooter like Quake or Team fortress 2, one can use a low sensitivity to get high precision aim and at the same time quickly flick the crosshair to do rocket jumps or aim at a target behind you.If you don't use acceleration one has to find one sensitity that is low enough so that one can aim properly, but at the same time high enough to be able to turn quickly. By using acceleration one does not have to compomise. If you are not used to it all all, it might initially take some time to practice your muscle memory, but it shouldn't take that long. A muscle memory based both on the speed and distance the mouse is moving is actually quite easy to master.

about a week ago i built my own pc
installed a gtx 960 as my gpu and have currently only been playing league
of legends wich isnt a very high demanding game, so i ran the settings on
max. now about a day ago my fps has dramatically decreased to around 40ish
and when there is alot going on in game it gets really glitchy. also ive
noticed that the fan isnt spinning. could this be a faulty graphics card?
heres my specs
ntel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
ASRock Z97 Extreme3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB SuperSC ACX 2.0+ Video Card
EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

Yeah that's definitely weird. I honestly never heard of a problem like that before. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, and have fun with that nice build! Once again if you have any questions feel free to ask.
+ImTheSyZyGy what i did actually was return my computer to one of its earliest save points and it fixed the problem. the weird thing is that i never changed anything in order for it to slow down like that
+dbsshadow In that case then you should probably get a new card. Good luck on getting a functional one. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
+ImTheSyZyGy seems that everything is leading to a faulty gpu, i was checking temps yesterday and it stayed below 50c , checked my cpu usage and it was around 7%. the computer is one week old and i havent done anything but test it out on league and untill two days ago it slowed down. havent moved or changed any settings.
+dbsshadow Hmm... that's a really nice build. The only things that I can think of are making sure that all of the drivers are up to date. This means the GPU, CPU, and even the MB drivers. Also, is it the Graphics Card fan that isn't working or just a cooling fan? If its the Graphics Card then your FPS drops are probably from the card overheating, so be careful. You may have a faulty card, but try downloading a program that can control the fan and setting the fan speed curve. Check your BIOS to see if the fan is set to anything. Maybe take it out and check to see if everything is connected properly. Try cleaning it even. If this doesn't help then you may just have to return it, and get yourself a new one. Sorry if this doesn't help.
