+Adam DiMaggio I'm from Tahoe/Rubicon region, that jeep would have gotten chewed up and its sidewalls shredded. Dude has the wrong tires. That Xterra would handle the rubicon fine.

+MrBannnnnny That's also a really nice rig (the xterra). Looks like he's got a titan swap going on, and he's probably got a locking rear diff. More than just the driver, that 2005 (or newer) xterra is going to have a better computer controlling its TC as well, considering that Jeep is an old late 80's to mid 90's model jeep.Also better tires for mud. Wide fat tires aren't that great hehe.

Besides the Xterra Driver also went around the Deep holes where the jeep got stuck... he is a smart driver and more skilled... The Jeep Driver sad to say need to stay home... Like Snow dont dig ur tires in deeper thinking ur going to get out.. :p lol..

I wouldnt say xterra is better. lol. dont make a fool out of yourself by assuming. a car is a car. know its capabilities = knowing how to drive it off road without the fancy mechanics of lockers and differentials. But yes, the xterra made that Jeep "cherokee" a little of an embarrassment. oh, go get a xterra and take it to rausch creek if you're east side or the moab and/or the rubicon trail. See you it handle for yourself instead of judging rigs base on vides. lol. noob

Seeing as the Xterra is like 1/2 the price of a Land Rover. The Xterra is one of the best (-$40k) SUV's off-road up there with the Wrangler and FJ. This is like comparing a Porsche to a WRX, ones faster and way more expensive. The LR2's look like a soccermom SUV. Oh, "doitanyway." "Go back to the burbs?" Xterra's were made for people that don't want a bunch of leather, DVD, Nav systems, etc. I see wayy more Discoveries and LR2's in the rich ass burbs. They're never even gonna see a dirt road...

I love the look of the FJ but the X-terra looks damn nice too. All things considered, I think the X-terra is the superior vehicle. They've got nearly equal cargo capacity but the X-terra has 4 full doors (FJ has "clam shell" doors in rear) and a more powerful engine. Also, some road tests indicate the X-terra has a superior 4-wheel drive system and often makes hill climbs with ease that give the FJ trouble. Plus I just happen to be a fan of Nissan and think Toyota is over-rated.

@roadman89NE I pulled up one video on Youtube of a hill climb up a huge dune in the desert of Saudi Arabia. An FJ Cruiser tried three times to get up the hill and failed. Then an X-terra did it on the first try. I think they are both great vehicles but I still think that Nissan has the edge in this competition both on-road and off-road.

1st gen xterras don't come with good all terrain tires, I have an 04 xterra stock tires are worn down I've never gotten stuck. The xterra is awesome for offroading but I'd have to say my favorite is Landrover Defender rugged little bastards, like wranglers but better.

If you like shitty, unreliable cars that look like a mom SUV, sure an LR2 / Discovery would be a great choice. On the other hand, if you like the Rugged, No Frills (or bullshit) rig with excellent 4WD, handling, Sexy Roof Rack, MPG Xterras are the way to go.

I miss my Pathfinder. It was a tank. It could take a hit and keep going. Mine had 200,000 miles on it and i had to junk it a year and a half ago because it was destroyed in a crash. So i didnt get in that accident i would probably still have it today.

+4x4TV Otherwise your review was spot on ;) Best vehicle I ever bought - we're at 250k miles. Not burning oil... but timing chains are hanging on for dear life. For the record we often had 6 passengers and 2 big dogs along for the ride... so 8 max I suppose.

@Vaqueroification Vi otro video que es mas facil.. pero le faltaría al otro mejor desagotar el radiador sacando la manguera desde abajo.. dejarla afuera, poner una manguera ccon agua corriente por donde se carga el agua, hacer andar el motor y q se limpie el circuito una vez que el agua salga transparente... le echamos el liquido y hasta que salga del color del liquido ahí ponemos la manguera que quitamos del radiador nuevamente, terminamos de llenar el recipiente por donde se le carga y listo

Caray que barbaridad,mira si le cambiaste ese resistor que está localizado en la parte de abajo del pasajero y no hay señas de aire caliente! Tu problema tiene que estar en que si tu auto lo compraste usado? Hay que asegurarse que no le hayan cancelado las mangueras del heater core,otra que la compuerta de los tubos de ventilación no esté pegada y la última que tu perilla que controla el clima frío,tibio o caliente. .! No este barrida o quebrada. .. espero esto le sirva

Hola. Tengo un honda accord 99. No avienta aire caliente. Ya le cambie el termostato... El heater core.. La valvula.. Y le puse y purge el antifreeze. Pero sigue sin echar aire caliente. Cuando le cambie el heater core y la valvula. Empezo a echar aire.. Pero se detuvo a los 2 dias y ya no echa de nuevo. que podria ser la falla... ???

Yo lo compre y estoy enamorado de el, en realidad viene con mas equipamiento del que apareze hay, control de voz, climatizador bizona.. Para mi una cierto enorme, es mas coche que nunca, conducion silenciosa y comoda, y la potencia ke tiene me sube puertos con la minga! Para ke mas? Bueno y asequible! Be fore I do, I would like to ask all Xterra owners, particularly of this year if they've had any serious reliability issues with theirs I've heard of serious transmission defects and I'm trying to avoid that at all costs. the car I'm looking at has 115K miles on it. Any advice or problems I should watch out for? Any feedback is welcome and encouraged.
