Buying one of those butchering gloves made me almost twice as fast
immediately, and I was already pretty quick, but not as fast as Daniel. If
you're processing a LOT of meat, you're non-knife hand is gonna make
contact with the blade eventually. It's guaranteed. They don't cost hardly
anything for the damage they prevent. Even an almost impercetible contact
with the blade is gonna lay you open, and a careless slice or stab is gonna
send you to emergency, and probably require surgery. What you gain in speed
because you're able to move faster, without risk, pays for the glove many,
many, many times over.
After I had processed somewhere around 150 chickens, and 50 rabbits, I got
a little tiny 1/8" long slice on a finger after barely making contact with
the blade (the blade wasn't even in motion, just bumped it ever so
slightly), and I actually got an infection they call cellulitis from that,
which is where the bacterial infection spreads out quickly from the wound
site moving through the thin layer of fat between your muscle and skin. It
gets very bad, very fast. Mine was all the way up my arm in 2 days. I was
lucky and that only cost me $100 total to treat, with a 10 day antibiotic
regimen. I bought a couple butchering gloves after that..for like $12-$15 a
piece. I posted this to be helpful, and hope it prevents a few folks from
getting cut unnecessarily. ;-)
Reminds me of the Taoist story: "There was once a butcher who was carving a
joint of meat for a customer who had been coming for many years. “Pardon
me,” the customer asked, “But isn’t that the same knife you had last year?
Do you need to sharpen it often?” “It’s the same knife I’ve had for the
last 17 years,” the butcher replied, “And I haven’t had to sharpen it even
once. For, when I cut the meat, I allow the knife to find its own way
through the flesh without effort or stress...
(conclusion of Taoist "The Butcher" story) “And when I come to a tricky bit
with lots of cartilage, I just slow down and allow the mystery to solve
itself and in no time the meat falls right off the blade.”

Google Nexus 5 vs. Apple iPhone 5S - Performance

I actually hate apple. it's so expensive for a small screen at 699$ for
iphone5s? (notsure) and 350$ for a nexus5 (bigger screen) so for me nexus5
wins
I'd argue that the service you get when something goes wrong is the best. I had an HTC One and when it messed up I was passed from HTC to sprint and they would blame each other, horrible customer service. Got an iPhone, something went wrong, went to the store and they instantly gave me a new one no questions asked.
Please! review the KK 4.4.1 ASAP. Heard it's got great upgrades to the
Camera.
So, do go through and let us know.
Thnx for all the reviews, and still waiting for your custom Roms/Kernels on
Nexus 5.
Tkr, peace out. ```
The british in the falkland//las Malvinas). Conflict used the british made
Slr self loading rifle SLR. Not as good as the FN. FAL only 15 rounds
single shot semi automatic plastic 70/ pc. 15oo feet per second
+Voetsak Lapalapa You need to do more research, the British L1A1 SLR feeds from a 20 round magazine the same as the FN FAL. The only major difference between the two is the fact that the SLR is semi auto only.
The comparison here is stupid, unless you want to make a comparison about
"battle rifle" class and "assault rifle" class.
FN FAL, HK G3, M14, M1 Garand, SVT, Dragunov, G43... actually can be
grouped in one class and are essentially have similar role. All them uses
big rifle catridges which are today mainly used for snipler rifles
(7,62x54, 7,62x51, 7,92x57). These have excellent range and power but high
recoil, are good for KOed single target.
Meanwhile, AK-47, M16, FN FNC, HK G36,... are assault rifles, they uses
intermediate cartridge, have less range and power but better "assaut"
characteristics.
Puting an aiming telescope on a FN FAL, you have a sniper rifle, like
Dragunov.
Despite the cartridges, both were used by NATO and the Warsaw Pact. America is the lone wolf with the M14 and 16. Even the M16/ AKA is not a accurate debate because like the poster says the AK was design to be better than a submachine gun. It shoots a intermediate 30 bullet where the M16 shoots a high powered 22.
As an individual I prefer to have a 7.62 battle rifle, it makes more sense
for a military to have an intermediate cartridge. Each soldier can shoot
more and the cost in materials goes way down.
If you're dealing with large human waves, you want an assault rifle and not
a full powered battle rifle, as the Indian army had to find out the hard
way in 1962 during the Sino-Indian war. We were equipped with FALs, while
the chinese had ak47s. It was 15,000 Indian troops against 85,000 chinese
troops, and that didn't work out too well. But that could also have been
because India did not use ANY of its airplanes during the war.
+MrReded69 actually, until 1962, the majority of Indin equipment were western in origin, such as the centurion tank, mystere figter bomber, folland gnat fighter jet, canberra bomber, and the FAL. After 1962, we started buying from the soviets, like mig 21s, T 55 and T 72 tanks, mig 29, etc. Though France has always provided weapons to India throughout. Only recently has India started buying from the west again. India and US are plannning on codeveloping and producing a variety of weapons for their miitaries.
+Manas Surya I've read that the west didn't really help India re-arm until after the Sino-Indian war. Their hesitation before the war was caused by too many Indian leaders like Nehru who spent the later 40s & 50s trying to cull favor with Moscow and Peking. Prime example was how the Indians halted western attempts to aid the Tibetans against the Chinese.Only until after the ability of the PLA to overwhelm India was demonstrated in that war was re-armament of India aided by the west. Especially as Vietnam was really starting to heat up!
+MrReded69 Many frontline troops were equipped with the FAL in that war, the semi automatic version L1A1 SLR, licensed from britain. But yes, the majority of troops still had Lee Enfield rifles, which were even worse.
+gusjeazer FAL is .308 - 7,62x51Ak is .285 7,62x39
