Looks like an awesome trip, exactly the kind of thing I want to do with mine once it's done. I gotta say, your videos have been a great source of information so far. One thing I was wondering if you could go into at some length, I noticed that you have what seems to be a Honda Civic radiator in Arthur? I've been working on getting an aluminium Civic rad in my Amazon lately (as you can see in my channel) and it would be a great help if you could share some details of the plumbing and placement of the fan/switch. +Turtle Garage I like your method better. I wasn't crazy about drilling into the front cross member. But hindsight... I'd love to see some pictures.

+David Bello the diameter of the lower hose would explain the crazy amount of leakage I got when I first ran my engine with the new rad! Thanks for the info, it's very helpful indeed.I think I mounted my radiator differently than you did yours - I just fabricated a steel frame that surrounds the Honda rad, with one stud on the bottom that aligns to the bottom mount of the stock rad and brackets sticking out the sides to connect to the stock side mounts (so it's a completely reversible mod and no cutting of the bodywork needed to be done). The side brackets also serve as a perfect mounting point for the coolant expansion bottle and fan relay. I'm just having a bit of bother with the plumbing but the info you've provided should steer me the right way now.

I'm also having issues closing my hood since the rad support we built in a previous update doesn't connect to the latch and it flexes. And my water pump was a cgeapo brand that overheated the engine a few too many times. Needs a head gasket again, so plenty of videos coming soon! Thanks for watching :)

Sure I'll make a video for it. It will be a few weeks though. So for now I'll tell you that the top hose is oem volvo for the 122, 1 1/4", the lower hose has a reducer since the amazon radiator has a 1" lower hose and the honda is consistent with the 1 1/4. Going out of the honda rad is a 90-96 miata hose, cut to fit, the adapter (autometer #2282) and the other half of the volvo hose to go to the water pump inlet. hope that helps.
