Have a bottle of WD-40 laying around with nothing to use it on? Think again. Here are 4 things you can clean with WD-40: how to remove finger prints on ...
Wonder if WD-40 Has Kerosene in it? have you ever noticed it has kind of a
weak smell of it. almost like Lamp Oil.
that's how Dry cleaning was "supposedly" discovered, some one knocked over
a kerosene lamp ( Not Lit Of course) and the the Kerosene splashed on some
drapes and the area where it got on the drapes, looked cleaner then the
rest.
what ever WD-40 is made with,it sure works good for A lot of things
+DUSTERDUDE238 It has oder-less mineral spirits in it which is, if my memory is correct, highly refined kerosene. Also mineral spirits is the main ingredient along with mineral oil, not fish oil.
+DUSTERDUDE238 I found out that WD40's main ingredient is fish oil. No wonder it smells. You can use rubbing alcohol on all the demonstrations in the video. Works great. I shine my tea kettle & faucets with it. Great on chrome.

+Fran Martinss Por favor!
Gastava muita pilha.
+Alami Renamique Eu tenho. É bem das antigas. Lá em torno de 2004, 2005.
acrylic scratch removal - perspex scratch removal
How to remove scratches from acrylic, brought to you by //www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/forum1/index.php This will work on most acrylic/perspex/plexiglas.
+fishkeeper888 It will on some, but it depends on what type of plastic it is. Some plastics are painted and it won't work on them.If possible you should try it out on an inconspicuous area as it might not work.
+David Goodwin No, it will only work on Acrylic and some plastics, fibreglass is normally painted, so I don't think this will work on that. You might have a chance with the windshield but I don't think they use acrylic, but you could try it in an inconspicuous area.

Me avisas saludos

The Best Way To Remove Sticker Residue By Using WD40
WD40 has thousand benefits and this is one of it. You can use WD40 at almost all surface and for safety reason remember to test it onto hidden surface first.
Next time I'll use a little WD-40 on a Q-Tip to clean all the circuit contacts and push pads. Spraying is way to much WD-40. I had nothing to lose because the ...
I always thought remotes were disposable. I've purchased many new ones
thinking the old ones were spent. Would alcohol or contact cleaner work
just as well? It wouldn't require all that clean up. I've cleaned the
switches 3 times already on my Harman Kardon preamp and the buttons on my
HK power amps, they seem to work OK for a while but after a short time they
seem to get oxidized again. Do you think WD-40 would be the answer?
Awesome Video, I've run into the same problem with numerous remotes. My
observation is there is some kind of oily residue that builds up between
the rubber membrane and the circuit board. WD40 is mostly solvent and
obviously removes this oil. Another option is alcohol and this seems to
work well too. Keep up the great videos and VERY much appreciate your
contribution to others and my knowledge. You are #1 in my books !!
I used WD40 on volume controls then I use tri-flow in a precision
applicator pen. I did all of my scratchy analog volume controls this way
and they are still working great. My laptop had a scratchy volume control
when I got it and I did it with tri-flow and it's been working great since,
no static or scratchyness. And this should also work for a hand held
electronic game that uses these same carbon contacts?
Well, I tried 90% isopropal alcohol first just because it made me nervous
using wd40 and it really did not help at all, BUT after using the wd40 it
is 100% better. And this remote was terrible! It is our digital TV remote
with lots of buttons and heavy use by my kids and only about 1/2 working
most of the time. Now they all work. Thanks Rick! Tom B.
I have a "Fred G. Sanford drawer" (like his eyeglasses drawer) that I've
aptly named "the land of misfit remotes", and yes, I did try denatured ETOH
with little success; what the heck, their only good for kindling now, may
as well give WD-40 the old college try! Alas, no laser detector, I'll use a
red filter and mirror....
Wow Rick, you were going it a bit with the old service-mans aftershave
lotion there (WD-40) there but it looks like it’s done the job once more. I
wonder how may remotes and/or TV sets have been junked just for the sake of
a quick spray of WD-40 liquid band aid. All the very best... Andy.
I way over did this one on purpose. Try using a little WD-40 with Q-Tips,
that is the way I use WD-40. My ten year radio volume control experiment is
still working, I use the radio everyday. It is now over fifteen years, and
counting. It is worth a try before you through it away.
Don't use WD40 it will wilt your silicon button platform, we repair them
dish washing liquid and water, and it works perfect, get a hair dryer just
to make sure you have no moisture left. also I find a toothbrush is better
then paper towel, hope I helped you have a good day..
Good video! I recall that you used WD40 in at least one other video. I once
had a scolding from an old typewriter repair guy when he asked if I used
WD40 on my Royal Electric. I had it in his shop for repair. He told me to
never use it on a typewriter. He knew the clues.
LOL. I don't see how! Of course I purposely way over did it. And by the way
the remote is still working. Also my control test transistor radio, that
was the original experiment over 20 years ago, is also still working. I use
it almost every day.
I over did it on purpose because using WD-40 is so very dangerous. It's no
wonder the world is so missed up, few people do their own thinking anymore.
It's easier to let some stranger do your thinking. The Sun is getting
harmer....Dah!

Good demonstration. I did think you were using a bit too much WD, so I
agree, less would be better. I will keep this in mind for the next time I
have a problem with electronic devices, thanks.
that is very interesting, I love your videos! I have done this a few times
before. works like a champ, and those transistor radios I got today, I got
both working fine.
Rick, Too much or too little WD-40...one can't argue with success. Good
vid. At some point in the future I may have use of that repair method.
Thanks. Regards, John
I hate it when you need to use a remote for something and can't find it! I
really don't know why they can't include those buttons on the thing itself
as-well.
For years I have been using isopropyl acohol to clean and maintain my
remotes. I can flood the contacts if necessary, yet not worry about the
after-effects.
