This song has a great point!!! I Love My Natrual Beauty and I Look beautiful with and without make up. I like to Rock eye liner ( especially black eye liner, it shows My Egiptians presence) eye shadow, mascara and lip stick or lip gloss!! I dont Fuck with nothing else. Wearing make up allows me to Express My artistic side. I Love experimenting with different colors. Iam a very Artsy person. I Love all forms of Art. I Love doing nail art also. Natrual Beauty has no limits, Its not contained but it allows people to see your true radiance, I feel I Rock both well!!!

+Patrick Chole I don't see it as she uses makeup to cover her scars. I see it as she's a beautiful young woman who like many others had their confidence and self worth taken away. Now she feels like she needs to use makeup to hide from who she is.

As an aspiring poet, I have to say Kendrick Lamar's lyrics are incredible. At a first glance, many people will assume the song is talking about a man who is trying to convince a woman that she does not need makeup to be beautiful and she should face the world head on but further analyzing and listening to this song we begin to realize the song is about a man who is trying to help a woman who is in an abusive relationship. and she wears makeup to hide her bruises. The ending is by far one of the greatest plot twists I have seen. Bravo! Whoever said rap is not enlightening obviously never listened to artists such as Kendrick Lamar.
