+Sean Mark Yeah, but you have to consider they grow indoors. It won´t be too easy for a disease to go from one urban barn to another. If one shold be infected you can easily shut it down temporarily and desinfect the whole facility.
So what kind of waste does it produce and what are the power requirements?
Also is it cheaper than current agricultural practices and can it be used
to grow things like potatoes, apples, cannola or wheat? So far you have
only shown it growing products for a salad.
Good questions. I'd love to tour the facility and ask a lot of questions. I've seen a few hydroponic grow ops and this one looks unique because of the water and plant cycling. Quebec must be a good place for this because it's got plenty of power, lots of water and cheap rent....taxes are high though.

How we're going to change the way you eat!
Presently our generation is faced with the biggest question of the 21st century. How can we feed our exploding population and save our planet at the same time?
I think this great innovation. I really like the concept of bringing the
plants to harvest rather than the other way around. However, it is only a
matter of time before pesticides as well as gmo's are introduced to this
agricultural system as well. All it takes is one outbreak of a common
critter or fungal blight, and one reaches for the hammer to stamp it out.
Even if you run this facility with pharmaceutical sterility of entrants, it
will happen. I hope the creators invest in foresight to deal with this
eventuality.
