+Some Kid Plays CS:GO when I had mrsa my post op wound wasn't quite so large but extended well into the fat tissue ,when I asked about sutures the doc said that it is extremely difficult to eliminate all of the infection so we had to wait. and see if there was going to be any secondary infection before stitches and or skin graft. mrsa sucks big time ,it popped up in three different locations before all was said and done..
This shit is no joke! I was putting up sheet rock and the drill slipped off
the screw and the bit screwed down into my index finger to the bone. I
immediately cleaned the wound with anti bacterial soap, Peroxide,
Neosporin, and bandage. I was good for 2 days then on the 3rd day the
finger blew up like a balloon and keeping the finger in a bowl of ice water
did nothing so I did what I hate doing......I went to the ER. They looked
at it and 30 seconds later I am being told I am being admitted and will
need surgery ASAP! WTF!
After a night of tests the Dr comes in tells me it is MRSA and they need to
open up my finger to drain and pack it. 5 days and 2 super painful
surgeries later I am released from the hospital with a PICC Line and have
to give myself antibiotic injections twice a day for 6 weeks with these
MONSTER sized syringes! I was told that if I had come into the hospital 1
day earlier they probably could have treated it overnight with an IV but if
I had come in a day later I would have lost my finger!!
Moral of my story........DON"T FUCK AROUND WITH AN INFECTION, GET IT
CHECKED!
+J Backlund I had a PICC line. I had Lyme disease. The antibiotic injections are automatic through pumps, all you have to do is change it. I only had to change the antibiotic bag thing once a day, during lunch. It's not all that bad.
FITLIFE TUMERIC STORY: While following the online health transformation program Fitlife I got a wound. This is how I healed my ringworm that got infected with ...
MRSA wound treatment :-)
Update! I've added a link showing what scar ended up being. I took this pic on 8/21/15 //imgur.com/A5dQxuW **** I was bit by a spider. It turned into this.
I went tot he ER for mine...and the thing that hurts the most is the
numbing around the area. But I didn't get to see any of mine because it was
on my shoulder, close to my neck area, and my lower back (3 separate
cases). My first one was so infected that it made it's way into my blood
stream, I hate hospitals...the pain from it forced me to finally go... But
these thing are no joke. They told me if I'd waited a few more days, it
could have been fatal.
Leg update #1 - Dressing Change - MRSA Staph Infection
Here's an update: For those of you who didn't see the original video... I DID go to the doctor. This is my recovery AFTER surgery. These are instructions I'm ...
l had MRSA in my left upper arm..the pain was unbelievable...l was rushed
into hospital because the infection was traveling towards my heart...l was
sent home!! with antibiotics..Amoxacilin?' which l am hugely
allergic..Dermis Disattchment sets in and my skin goes live chewing gum...l
was in and out of consciousness..so l self medicated...pulled myself down
the chemist..got sulphur paste, tones of dressing, sterile gloves, salt,
even puppy training sheets to keep whole area clean...there like bed
wetting sheets..you just throw them away..came home with all my medicare
ready to sort this agonizing burn and pain...plus Spinach,Broccoli, kiwi,
berrocco dissolves, and pro biotic supplement..l juiced up a mix every
3hours..then it was time to sulphur paste my arm..hot towel..the pain
increased..white sweat!!..then a small hole opened..and OMG it was all
colour, textures..just poured out...the relief was amazing...So now l had
to keep dressing it, and juicing every 3hours..l had a massive hole in my
arm..the smell had gone and it was healing fast..after 2days of sleeping
and overloading my immune system and drinking boiled water...l was feeling
100% better..just my arm was healing bit by bit..14days aprox to completely
heal over and not have to dress it...So Antibiotics nearly killed
me...Flooding my immune system, being extre sterile and sleep saved my
life...
Well, when I had surgery, they put me completely under. They had to scrape
out a LOT - going all the way up into the back of my thigh. The doc said he
hadn't seen that bad of a case in a long time and that if I hadn't done
anything about it, I would have lost my leg. So... of course they gave me
pain meds during surgery... but afterwards, I was on Darvocet for the pain.
But didn't need it the last 3 weeks because my leg was so numb in that
area. So, during this video, I wasn't on pain meds.
I was sick in october and my skin was peeling EVERYWHERE and when i. Say
everywhere i really mean it even my hands were peeling a while layer of my
skin was turning white and then reeling off like a snake. It was so crazy!
I went to a doctor and he said it was a staff infection. He said i got so
lucky because most kids got really sick during a staff infection but i
didnt get sick at all. I threw up 1ce and i was super itchy and my skin was
soooooooo dry. I feel sorry 4 u
@KimberlyOrangee the first thing you need to do if you have an infection
that you think may be staph is GO TO THE DOCTOR - this stuff is not
something to play around with - if it is MRSA, then you could lose limbs...
they had to do an emergency surgery for mine because it was MRSA staph. So,
go to a doctor - the only way that it will heal is if they drain it and if
you take meds for medicine resistant bacteria. Seriously - do not delay in
going to the doc!!!
@lesleyh2211 you might want to go to the doctor. MRSA is well known for
having a redness around the affected area. And most of the time, it is an
infection that began from an open wound... not all the time, but what yours
sounds like it might be is a cyst or something. Mine turned real bad real
quick - in just three days. But just to be safe, you should go to the
doctor. Don't play around with it, especially if the swelling is increasing
a lot.
@Greatersend I did not take a shower when I had this. I took a bath, and I
kept the leg out of the water and washed around the area. I didn't shave
around the area either. You want to make sure that you don't wash the wound
IN the bath but separately like here in the video when you clean it.
Washing it in the bath could spread the bacteria to other parts of the body
- and could be dangerous if you had any open wounds in other places.
Just like i thought! Brand Names! percocet is Oxcodiene (You call it
Oxycotin) & Paraceetamol together. Oxy is what I'm on aswel. 40mg,
Co-Codamol 30/500mg (x2 tablets) Diclonfenac 50mg, aswel as Auromorph
Liquid 10/5mg & Fentanyl Lollies 400mg. I Recommend changing your Aquacel
Ribbon (2 X 45 CMs) to Sheets which are 15 X 15 cms. That way, you can cut
different sizes out of it. That's if you haven't heeled already. Take care.
IN-CREDIBLE. Just completely disgusting. And I love it! The human body
amazes me - what we can do, what we put our bodies thru! It is incredibly
exhausting for the human body to have an open wound like yours. And what I
had after my surgery. Anyway, I'm praying for you, hun. I'll talk to you
soon!
My ex-GF had MSRA from a car accident and i did her bandages. I popped her
MSRA on her forearm - and it came out well and had to drain it a couple
times over a week. Had her arms sanitized over a week and everything came
out right... She is fine now but has a mild scratch where the openings were.
did they give you a painkiller while they were clearing it out? Ive seen
and heard of people that got similar cysts, boils etc. with no paid meds and
said it was excrusiatingly painful why wouldnt they give the patient
something for the pain???????????? ???????
I got something from my docter and he said its doing something slowly (i
think growing slowly) so so far it looks like a mild infection and not
staph, I SO HAPPY! And drained right when i went to the docters to find out
what it was, thanks for the credit!
You Do that well. I pack my wound (From a cut out Fistulae) everyday 3
times & your technique is a really good one. What Drugs you on? Oh.. It's
all company Brands over there isn't it? Instead of Just saying "Tramadol"
or "Codeine Phosphate" etc.
It might be that it's just a staph infection. If it's mrsa, I believe they
have to drain it. But a simple staph infection can be treated with oral
meds. I hope you are feeling better. Just make sure to keep it as clean as
possible.
so, just so everyone knows, I am 100 percent better. There is a nice "dent"
in my leg because the scar didn't heal smooth because so much "gunk" was
taken out. Maybe one of these days i will post a video of what it looks
like now.
I had this on the inside of my thigh, terribly close to my lady-regions. I
was never able to SEE the nurses packing it or anything, so it's rather
neat to be able to watch what was going on behind my back.
@KimberlyOrangee even if you don't have insurance - you need to go. I
didn't have insurance and that is why I didn't go. If I had gone sooner, I
would probably have had an easier time of getting over it.
MRSA is commonly mistaken for a spider bite. Everyone carries staph as a
normal flora in the nose. Mrsa just happens to be a strain or type of staph
that has become resistant to the -cillin med family.
I have a minor staph. I get them on my stomach. My thighs. It's annoying
because you have to drain the pus out and take antibiotics. I hate having
to take antibiotics every eight hours. Ugh.
I currently have one on my leg, and it stopped me from walking for a couple
of days until the doctor popped it. Thankfully, i am booked in to see a
specialist in a couple of weeks!
believe it or not, I couldn't straighten my leg all the way until one month
after the surgery... what you see here is about as straight as I could have
it due to the trauma.
I got a infected misquito bite and its possible that i have staff
infention! i have pills to take, but i HATE pills. I hope you are getting
better! Wish me luck!
haha, I've been healed since mid November of last year. THanks for the
info! :) I got a nice nasty scar, though! BOOO.
