Though nice, most of these are quite spacious by comparison to my place. As a small apartment owner, I am tired of all these "small apartment" tips that showcase spacious apartments. Some of us really DO live in small spaces. The sink in that bathroom is almost as big as my bathroom itself. The only place that was small was the purple apartment (not a color I'd want to surround myself with).

Ok, fulsmiles, I get what you mean... I can always respect an opposite even if I don't agree with it. By the way, thanks for giving me the opportunity to come back here and look at Julie Wimmer's attempt at interior design again . . . I've changed my mind about it being "nicely designed", but it *is* well organized. Evokes what an East German hotel room would've looked like in the 1960s.

I like how your furniture and decor are light colored and not dark finishes bc I have a studio as well and all my furniture is either black or a dark wood finish.. May consider for future plans! although my apartment only has one small window whereas yours has the sliding doors (beautiful! )

In a small apartment, try a cat. They're quiet and won't disturb the neighbors. To save space, store a wardrobe in pull-out baskets beneath furniture. Store receipts in a manilla envelope.

Love, love, LOVE what you did. Replacing glass cabinet doors with wood ones is not something I would think of, as I tend to think the other way round is better. But in this case, what you did was right giving the space to look more clean or uncluttered. Perhaps it's more practical, too, since having glass doors above a stove may require more constant cleaning. On the contrary, replacing the pantry door with a glass one was a genius idea. It makes the area look more substantial yet airy.

Rebecca, this is my favorite out of all the rooms you have done. Love the kitchen and family room. Just a question, do you ever take questions? LOL. I would love to know how to get the same effect on my kitchen cabinets. I would be doing them. We have done almost everything in our home. But, my kitchen cabinets are plain. I love what you've done but I think it's funny what you think is a budget. I am currently furnishing and decorating a 1,000 sq. ft. (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) house for $5,000. This is everything from the sectional down to the last dinner fork. I'd love to see you do a video like that!

I do love it! The color in that family room is brilliant without being overdone. Love the painting and the pops of color on the shelves. The room is warm and inviting but still retains an elegance and richness. Beautiful and inspiring!

I have to ask why there would be a cut in the middle of the mantel on the fireplace???? It is like cutting a bedspread down the middle with a seam. Other than that it is a fabulous remodel.
