This song and motorcycle videos go together so well . I think I'll make a
video with a version of this song at one time or another. The video has to
be epic enough to use it though lol
watching videos like this does no justice for how amazing it is to ride a bike. the scenery looks amazing in the video but it'll be breathtaking seeing it in person while riding. I learned that bc I was the same way I watched a few videos and thought it looked like fun and now I ride every day that's above 40 degrees
I am actually more interested in riding B roads (would avoid town as much as I can) but I know what you mean. I know some fellas that have ridden a lot of sportsbikes, but want supermoto for their next bike. More than enough speed, better suspension for awful roads etc, etc... Good luck with your Duc and whatever you chose for your next bike :)
i started on a suzuki gsxr 600, but honestly i agree with you. I mean, supersport is fast and loud, and looks pretty sick. But honestly it's not good for getting around town. Overheats at stop lights, has to be run often or battery dies, and has too much power for starting off.I would kill for a smaller sport model, or even one of those street legal dirt bikes. Could go anywhere anytime on that, would be so nice.
I've never ridden motorcycle. But I am thinking about giving a try to Hornet or Fz6n as a beginning :) (I think supersports are too powerful and little bit more expensive for me, for first bike) What did you start on?
Full Yoshimura Exhaust System, K&N Air Filter, Power Commander 3, Werkes Fender Eliminator, -1 Front Sprocket, After market screen and indicators, Dyno ...
@RetroGT2006 Thanks, Yeah i had everything done at once. The PC3 and air
filter was definitely worth it. Because i had the full exhaust system
installed it was highly recommended to get the PC3 with a custom map
(through dyno). The PC3 basically configures your air-fuel ratio over your
rev range. Not only does it slightly increase performance, it also makes
sure you have the right mixture so it's not running to rich or blowing
black smoke haha.
I did about 20,000kms with this Werkes fender kit and didn't have any
trouble until recently. The first time a cop let me off for it because I
was wearing full leathers on a 35 degree day! The second time I wasn't so
lucky and I got a defect for the plate and smoked indicators. I had to
change them back to stock but have since built a custom tail. EBAY is your
best bet mate. Importing from the states is sooo much cheaper than local
sellers
@RetroGT2006 To be honest though the most noticable difference was when i
had a smaller front sprocket installed. I just went with 1 tooth smaller.
It only cost about $50 for the sprocket + labour and greatly increased
acceleration. It feels great through all the gears. It does lower your top
speed though but i don't really need to go 250km/h+ on the roads haha.
@Winnydogg I can't wait to order it.. Only thing stopping me from getting
it tonight online is i need to decide what color to get.. I am changing out
the fairings and i am stuck between 2 diff ones.. Yeah when i get the new
parts i def will put chain lube on it every couple hundred miles. I want it
to stay in good shape.
cool man, i have the same exact colour scheme bike and i see you're in
victoria too. i've been shopping for fender eliminator and was wondering if
you had any trouble with the police because of the position of your plate.
i'm also looking for yoshi rs5 slip on too, any where you would recommend
that sells em cheap?
I went with a -1/+1 combo. I had them done when I first got the bike so I
don't really have anything to compare it too. I can usually squeeze 190km
out of a tank and the wear seems fine on them. It's a must in my opinion,
feels great
@Winnydogg Yeah man i need a new chain b/c mine is rusted i guess the
previous owner didn't keep it clean/dry.. So while i'm at it theres a deal
on an EK chain n -1/+2 for 130$... I think i may be buying it soon.
Hey mate, I got the exact same bike and same colour too! With the -1/+2
sprockets, did you notice anything else other than better acceleration?
(Fuels consumption, Sprocket wear and tear, etc). Cheers!
@RetroGT2006 Yeah that sounds great. You'll definitely notice -1/+2. I just
bought some chain lube from a local shop and make sure i put some on every
600kms.
i work on the same street as dynowerks.. Saw some dude fang it and stack on
a yellow cbr1000rr a couple of years back... Bike slid for about 100 meters!
@atf789 yeah but i'm talking more about the sound gain, i mean if it went
"stronger" etc..i can clearly hear this is waaay better than stock but was
the change very big? the stock CBR sound sucks i'd like it more aggressive,
i have the 2007 tough
