Careers: Why Dolby? Ioan Allen, Senior Vice President answers...
In this video, Dolby's Senior Vice President Ioan Allen talks about the close relationship Dolby has with industry creatives to create and maintain the technology ...
I seem to recall spending at least 25mins on the phone around 1998 talking
to Dolby New York about the idea of using a Dolby pro-logic decoder on the
stereo surrounds to create a third channel or to get around the
disorientation of the phantom centre. The chap on the other end of the line
seemed very interested in my idea of using a common DolbyProLogic with
Laserdisc Goldeneye dts. Next thing I read about 6 to 8 months later in
magazine is Dolby-EX which is a modified CP45 into the SA-10
Furthermore who gets the credit here for using a simple idea and expanding
on the surrounds? I guess me! If Dolby was thinking you would have come out
with Dolby-EX the very least 1993 1994 seems too coincidental to me that it
came out a several months after talking about my idea of using Yamaha
DSR70Pro with my millenium dts246 decoder.
George Allen introduces Macaca
Senator George Allen (R-VA) calls campaign volunteer S.R. Sidarth "macaca".
honestly, that guy does look like a macaque
and who the f*ck in this world would like to be followed around by a
macaque?? you want to beat the monkey sh*t out of a macaque, not be
followed around by a macaque. george allen is a public figure, he can't
beat the guy, so he just called him by what he truly looks like..
Come on, at the time somebody should have created a parody singing group,
with a white man George Allen-look alike as lead singer, and backed up with
a trio of black men in bright, multi-colored African garb They could have
called it "George Allen and the Macacas". First song; "I used to have a
career".
lol "macaca" what the fuck was this moron thinking? I didn't even know that
was a racial slur. Still, I'm glad he lost. Why would you say shit like
that when you're being filmed.
Racism only exists in the minds of those who choose to be effected by it?
Your privilege is showing and everybody sees how much you take it for
granted. You're using your ignorance to trivialize the issues affecting an
entire community of people, and it's disgusting. Your lack of concern means
you don't care about the reality of things for certain people, because that
reality is not your reality. You don't have to be concerned, because it's
easier not to. That's fine. Don't make the mistake of trying to speak on
what somebody, whose shoes you wouldn't even care to take 10 steps in, is
going through. Know your place.
