Halloween Redistribution - Even Kids Know It's Wrong!
This Halloween video is sure to become a classic & could be the best redistribution lesson ever for kids & adults alike. Watch Steven Crowder show kids what it's ...
Actually, Lori, this teaches that thou shalt not steal. Jesus never
advocated that people should steal from some to give to others. There is no
salvation in that act for everyone involved. That is a good quote about
charity... which Jesus DID advocate. It is sad that you do not see the
difference between the two. (BTW... have you followed Jesus' advice and
sold what you possess and given to the poor? Or are you just using that
quote erroneously in order to support your belief that forced
redistribution of wealth is supported in the Bible?)
Your understanding of "separation of church and state" suffers from what
you have been taught to think. The founders never intended that
practitioners of faith had to be muzzled. The first amendment encoded both
the right to free speech (which you seem desirous to deprive the pastor of)
and freedom of religion. The separation of church and state was set up to
prevent the government from telling you what to believe, how to believe, or
where to believe. It also prohibited the government from telling people
what not to believe, how not to believe, nor where not to believe. That
last sentence exemplifies what some are trying to get the government to do
in order to force others to comply with THEIR ideology. It IS ironic that
they try to get the government to exercise that control by citing the 1st
amendment which strictly forbids it.
It is a sad fact today that when students they break out on their own, they
are left unarmed when sellers of credit come calling. To be clear, it's not
that people are dumb -- the sly and ingenious credit card companies make
handling credit seem easy. But either way, the new consumers don't see or
know that taking on debt at a young age is killing their financial
security. Saving at a young age is critical. Simple facts about personal
finance are not taught and thus bright people are caught making financial
mistakes.
Well....if they been taught that all this candy is a gift and sharing is a
virtue, maybe they would not feel so self entitled. What if the kid with
the loaves and fishes had had this attitude???? Matthew 19:21 ESV / 30
helpful votes Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what
you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and
come, follow me.”
Sharing is voluntary, not forced. Stealing is wrong. This is a great object
lesson! Our "leaders" have wasted so much of our hard earned money that I
am beginning to think there has to be a money laundering scheme underneath
a lot of this. .
Kind of an interesting stance for a pastor.....I thought we were supposed
to separate church and state???? A Church trunk or treat used to teach a
political view point????
