I think this is one of the best designs you've done! I love how you softened the leaves because occasionally I feel the outlines or details like that are too contrasted and take away from the design. It's lovely to watch your grow and you give me a ton of inspiration so thank you :)

Nice combination with the outline styles for asters and the free-style (is this what it's called?) for hibiscus. Thanks so much for doing the hibiscus! Learning so much from you. I like seeing the actual flowers (on your table) and/or a simple "green screen" (such as photos) to show what you are painting or what's in your mind. But also prefer less camera and editing movements (too hard on the eyes) and found the flower pic on the left of your easel unnecessary (distracting & flickering).

@JesterDev Did you ordered the book "Principles of Chinese Painting" by George Rowley? I anm glad that you did it is a good book talking about the spiritual aspects of Chinese painting, concepts of Chi, Yun, Sheng and Dong etc. The brushes could last a life time (if you don't use them that much.:-) )Some of my brushes have been with me for more than 35 years, Hope you enjoy the first-hand approach to Chinese brush painting. Thank you!

@blueheronarts I draw with water color and use canson paper for drawing. I stretch my paper by soaking it in water then place it on a flat board and hold in place with tape, let it dry for several hours and start painting when it's completely dry. But it still shrinks whenever I do 'wet-on wet' painting :(

Very nice....enjoying the series, and that style (I think there might also be a little too much camera movement...zooming in and out...and back and forth to the flowers. Steady with a few closeups is better). (You are working Victoria and Amy too hard. (grin) Have a great Thanksgiving to you all.

my paper tend to shrink whenever I put water on it tho I did stretch it like many people did, and it came out very flat at first, but it still shrunk . I dont know if I got the correct stretching techniques or not! Can you make a video on 'Stretching paper' please? :)

@thangtran257 Search my videos for "mounting" with paste or "dry mounting" with silicone paper . Chinese painting is mounted or stretched after painting. What paper are you using? How did you stretch it?

@thangtran257 Use heavier watercolor paper will help. BTW, rice paper need not to be stretched when you paint in the idea-writing or "free" style. Thanks!

@Saremaw Thank you! To control water on your brush is very important. Try not to load your brush that often.
