Hi, I recently bought this camera and I tried to load the videos I created with their editing software they sent with the camera and I cannot get it to load to youtube. It says wrong file for uploading and I was wondering how I change the file for uploading? Also I don't get sound if I try and edit it with Pinnacle Studio 15 or any other software besides what they sent? Any ideas to help me out? Thanks

+The Fields Edge Outdoors  This is what I've found.  I've got it working good now.   First off, turn off the microphone gain on the camera.  With it on, which is the default, the sound is terrible and tinny.  Secondly, it will not play on some software, like Microsoft video players or editing software or upload to youtube as is.  If you try on a non compatable player it will have no sound. The problem is, It's in .mov format and so you need to first load it into something like Blender or Quick time and use that to convert it to MP4.  Then it will play in the other players.

+The Fields Edge Outdoors  Hmm.  So far I've found that if I play it in the Arcsoft video player that came on the disc it has audio, and I've heard it plays audio on Apple.  I found 1 reference where the guy said it records in surround sound 5.1 which is not supported by some players, and you have to convert it to Dolby 2.0.  But no mention of how to do that.  And I can't get the freking editor that came with the camera to do anything at all.   I tried contacting the company I got it from and just got a generic "send us the old one and we'll send you a new one" .  When I figure it out, I'll post a vid because lots of other people must be having this problem.  Thanks.

I use a Mac for video editing and I had no problems editing the DV2300HDZ's video files with iMovie.

This Bell & Howell DV2300 HDZ was given to me as a gift. Guess what? I have ZERO idea how to use it [old guy from the OLD SCHOOL]. There is a 100-page manual that tells you what a feature DOES, but not how to USE it, if you understand what I'm saying. I need a tutorial that will tell me how to use the camera in REAL LIFE. Should I attempt to find a general book on the use of camcorders? Thanks (anyone)

It works the same as any other flash memory camcorder: you put in an SD card, hit the recording button to start, and hit it again to stop recording. Then when you're done, plug it into your computer via the USB cable, and then you can play your videos, edit them, and/or upload them to YouTube, Facebook, etc.
