i hate this car with a passion. My mom has a 2005 mini cooper coupe...with
the absolutely terrible piece of crap automatic CVT. there is NOTHING on
this car i like. the transmission is meant to simulate a standard
transmission. why on earth would you want that. if you have an automatic
its because you want an automatic feel. you try to do a smooth start it
jolts forward. The tiptronic has a terrible delay and the padle shifters
dont work properly. very uncomfortable. extremely bouncy. terrible
@MTLbigJ also...this stupid thing "learns the driver" so if i use the car
the car acts all retarded because it thinks my mom is driving. so the rpms
are rediculously high when im driving at highway speeds 5000rpms.
therefore, it combines my driving and my moms driving into one stupid
profile. (i dont drive like an idiot). so constantly needs "transmission
readaptation" at BMW mini. costs 250 bucks each time. the steering is way
too hard. the car has some really annoying features. btw. i am 20
@MTLbigJ I have a 2005 MINI Cooper, manual, or stick, and I love it to
death! The steering has lots of feedback and it's a hoot to drive. The MINI
CVT is hopeless, but this goes to show that you shouldn't have an automatic
mini! :)
@MTLbigJ last comment lol. I wont lie. I admit if this car was a standard
(a proper standard) i would probly really enjoy this car. But avoid the CVT
AT ALL COSTS
