In a recent software update, the falcon wing doors on Model X can open "half way" to prevent too much rain and snow from entering the car. I demonstrate how it ...
+stephen10 The roof opening part of the middle doors makes it much easier to get to the middle and back seats than a sliding door. It has practical benefits and is not just a gadget. That said, its complexity caused lots of production and supplier problems and probably delayed the car's production.
Not clear to me that the amount of opening is that different in the two
positions. Width of covered area looks to be about the same. The wonder
where the advantage is supposed to be.
+Bryce Hale You don't want it bad. You just kinda want it. If you did want it bad, you would do everything humanly possible every single day of your life to be able to buy a tesla.
+redxsage Which is a matter of less time than we think, electric cars have proven themselves, now everybody knows it's what's coming. It's like an arms race for the best battery at this point. People want money, and that's where it's at.
+MCSGproject -- True enough. Just another way of saying, "Patience, Grasshopper." Once the capacity of a battery pack exceeds 120 kWh in a lightweight vehicle, maybe even before that, a lot of the remaining criticisms of electric vehicles will be moot.
+redxsage That's as nice quote, but everything's happening at a pretty fast pace right now in terms of technological advancement. Good riddance too, we're up shit creek if we don't act fast.
+Bo Tian If functionality is what you're looking for, the 70d isn't much far behind the p90d. The model x and model s meet different consumer needs. It's not like one vehicle is better than the other.
+MCSGproject it's a flaw with Tesla. I honestly think Model X is a better car than Model S (falcon wing doors, 3 rows, biohazard mode), but now I have to make do with S70D. Sobs.
+Alex Stern -- The price for these top-of-the-line Ludicrous Mode capable cars is $15,000 less than a base Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. So, it's actually a bargain.
+Alex Stern MSRP: 75k. All this 140k bullshit is misleading. You can get a model x later on for 75k once the lower tier version comes out. 140k is literally a loaded signature version.
+Will E-S Climb into the back seat and leave? yes very uncomfortable, but your disgust should be directed at the 2 A-hole who don't know how to park properly beside your vehicle.
Tesla Model X Automatic Doors
The front doors, falcon wing doors and the rear hatch all open & close automatically with the touch of a button.
+Dan Jacques Yes, even the back doors... they sense a car is near them and will never hit a the car... and they fold in closely so they are able to open. Although if they are too close, they wont open all the way, but they still open enough for you to get inside easily.
It is the first to reach production. The limited production Koenigsegg Regara hypercar has automatic doors, hood, and trunk, but it's still a prototype. //www.carscoops.com/2016/01/koenigsegg-regera-lets-you-get-up-close.html
Tesla Demonstrates Model X Falcon Wing Doors in a tight parking spot
Tesla shows off Model X Falcon Wing Doors in a tight parking spot. Arches for for each door are computed by sensing side and overhead surroundings.
What an awful video. Not talking about what amazing technology is in the
vehicle what so ever and just circulating about a speed limit. Barley a
mention for features like its safety, autonomy, and it's practicality
compared to other SUV's. And for the record the definition for SUV is
Sports Utility Vehicle, not the definition that was stated in the beginning
of the video. Instead of bitching about a speed limit you should have done
some more research and actually come up with a good segment on this amazing
car.
sad thing to watch, they dont get it and the reason for price tag being so
high is this is a 100% made a USA car all parts are made and put together
here no other company xan say that along with the new gen 3 with will sell
for around 30k which will be talked about next year
