Last springs floods washed out the banking around the west footing of Fernald Brook bridge. Temporary repairs were done, but again it washed out a little bit this ...
Great Bay Newington New Hampshire (3rd day of spring.)
Speeder Chase Part Two!
Watch as we speed back to Jefferson, Ohio ahead of the passenger train. The railroad ran speeders ahead of the train as well as behind the train for safety ...
It was fun! I did shoot video on the second day of excursions for a friend
using his professional video camera. He is making a dvd of the steam
weekend. We got a lot closer to the train on the second day and the sun was
out! I want to buy a speeder!
This is the first time this car has been under it's own power on a railroad in almost half a century! After Greasing the bearings, rebuilding the carburetor, restoring ...
I've been here before at Midway. I had the same idea but wanted to try it
at the Northern Valley rail from Rocky Hill to Hartford. BTW the track is
rated at 80 lbs per yard north of Dividend Road. State DOT owns the track
but is maintained by P&W in Worcester. Of course it pretty much abandoned
from end to end. I think your safe to operate it just as long as you watch
yourself at crossings. DOT is the only one that might complain but they're
never around any more.
That's great. I have a B4, a handcar, and a velocipede I bought in 1977.
The B4 has the motor off-center to the right so there is a 4 foot square
deck for carrying things. This car was for signal man's use on the Pere
Marquette at Holly, MI.. Good luck and have fun with yours.
The wheels come on it. The car was made at the Fairmont factory in the
1940's! See the brochure link:
