CB550 Slide and Needle Jet Removal
CB550 Carb Slide and Needle Jet Removal - I was having trouble with one cylinder so decided to get into the emulsifier tube since the other jets were good.
My cb400f starts, idles, takes throttle at low revs, however at high revs
(5000 up) in 5th & 6th and I put full throttle bike stutters, I've cleaned
the lower end of carbs but not the emulsion tube/jet, would this be why
bike stutters at high?
Great clear video by the way.
No, I put complete carb refurb kits in, idle, main, needle and tubes, spent a complete Saturday, rebalanced, checked points, timing and plug gap, all perfect, float heights 21.5, bike still same, since that I've been told that using the glass plug for rich lean is likely to have set bike on the lean side, that 400f need to be set slightly rich, another person has said using non stock carb refurb kits was wrong, use only genuine, also the float height should be set with carb on side not up side down, even that can upset the adjustment leaving the incorrect level in bowl, if I do take all apart again, I'll put floats to about 23mm, out of all of these the easiest done was the air mixture and set a bit rich, done and tried. Still the same, I've since also got full Honda needles tubes slow (40) main (75) kits to install, someday! At moment enjoying the good weather on it, I've cloeckec up a 1000 mile in a couple of weeks,if ha give her the beans she's great! A flying machine if kept 6-9k rpm, 0-60mph is about 6-7sec, if I could get the bottom end 2-4k rpm sorted,
A short ride in "Le Cap d'Antibes" with my Z50. I have changed the exhaust and adjusted my carburetor. Here are the main parts I have on it : - Takegawa 88cc ...
+JontsuHMK With MJN (Multi Jet Needle) carburetor you are obliged to change the needle because it is full of small holes : //www.yoshimura-jp.com/en/products/engine/mjn.phpI will work on the bike and post a new video but I will do that next month or in September.Thank you for your help =)
+JontsuHMK Yes I tried with a bigger main jet. It's a little better but it permitted to me to confirm that the needle is to lean...I will order the stock YD 24 needle (I have the YD 24 C1 that is made for 88cc head kit). And yes you are right it must be too big a 28 on a 88cc head but I will do my best to set the carburetor to this kit.
+PlaytothePC Well that 28 carb is quite big for such engine. I have mikuni vm22 on my 85cc and some people consider that as big carb.Have you tried it with a bigger jet yet?
Yeah, also at the end you can see that the motor nearly stops when I turned full gaz.I checked my spark plug and it's really black. In fact the carburetor is a YD 28 with the needle made for the YD 24 and for 88cc motors (C1 needle)I will try with a bigger main jet.
I'M such an idiot. I sold off a 79 in 1982. I thought it was going to
become a white elephant, my God a tune up was $90! I weighed about 135 then
and saw an indicated 135 MPH. I could only get this speed after revving 4th
all the way out and bumping 5th. In fifth gear to speed I had a wobble at
125 MPH, so I kept it in fourth till 125 and hit fifth where the wobble
reoccured at 135 again, When they first came out in 78 they had a decal on
the tank - FOR EXPIERENCED RIDERS ONLY.
Mr.watanabehifumi, another classic animation from your studios! What a set
of carbs on that baby! Hey Locki man, the first production 6 cylinder was
the Bennelli 750 6 built 3 or 4 years earlier. It's engine was (as all
bennelli's were) based on a "copied" Honda 500 sohc with another half
engine bolted on to make the "6". Help this helps.

Lol. Getting angry now? Starting to talk about things other than the topic
at hand? Tsk tsk tsk... Children like you shouldn't post here... It's not
healthy for your brain to get aggravated like that about someone you don't
even know. *blocked*
Learn how to tell the difference between a joke and douchebaggery. I'd say
it was pretty obvious to anyone with a decent amount of common sense that I
wasn't seriously asking for scientific proof that it is indeed scary.
Imbecile
I have one, The CBX Dry weight is 247 kg (544.5 pounds) I had a GS 1100G
it's Dry Weight: 237 kg (521 lbs) There was always a bone of contention
between owners when it came to power to weight ratios But still the CBX is
a Beauty
If YOU had any common sense you wouldn't say stupid shit like prove it.
What's with that screen name? Stalker? wtf???? Are you really a stalker or
is that some kind of lame ass joke also? I think you have a mental problem.
Thank you for the comment. It is a good motorcycle and source Hare paving
engine. whether shall say the tradition beauty of Japan Moreover, come to
play, and the friend. Raidarzcafe MACHⅢ Mach mastering
Thank you for the comment. Though the brake performance thought to
transplant the chassis of CB12 00 is good The acceleration performance also
is and has the thing by source Hare doing.
Thanks Watanabehifumi! This bike is a real legend! Beautiful engine, and as
far is I remember, it has been the very 1st 6 cylinder production
motorcycle... or not? Anyways, nice engine!
this bike goes better with the orginal exhaust and cut the airkiller in the
end of the exhaust. makes more sound but it gets much more powerful with
that instead of this 6 to 1
