You weren't the guy who caused the first two home to each return over €15 in the place pool. There's no such thing as a sure thing in horseracing. War Command was impressive in the Coventry but the form of those in behind has been hammered since. Likewise those behind in his maiden have turned out pretty average. Like him Sudirman was a Gr2 winner. I backed Big Time, sadly not to place on the tote, but I can't say I was greatly shocked at the result. One thing is sure jockey wasn't at fault.

You always cringe when you see a horse go down the way Cristiforo Colombo did in this race. Haven't heard anyone say one way or the other? But I certainly hope he recovered from this without any problems. He's shown a lot of potential in the G2 Coventry Stakes at Ascot, running well against Dawn Approach that day, and he also recently ran a really good race in the G2 Railway Stakes right here at the Curragh.
