all types of feathers work. But I did notice that some of our older people
would have the shakes. their hands would shake just a little which produced
better results. As the feather touches the pot, you need to drag it against
the pot. a slight movement as the feather is burning will produce a better
image. In other word you need the feather to be moving as it is burning on
the pot, otherwise you will have a black spot without any feather details.
It is so much fun and people just love doing it, even though they are not
potters.
