0:36 A void pointer array would have been a smarter choice than the use of variable objects... ^_^ nah, just kidding. it is JS or something, and only an example to demonstrate the concept.... I should stop trolling now... Can we store data on anything smaller than an atom? not if it should be stable, particle spin is hard to measure, and hard to create a stable environment for, so my answer is no.

so in order to store binary 1 or 0 you needed a bistable device and we've since shrunken the bit storage size from large ferromagnetic circles to what is now going to be atoms. Still performs the same "1, 0" operation albeit by different methods but the storage has increased tremendously. OK

as usual, a rather good video. but can you go into a bit more depth with the difference between ROM and RAM? Where they start being differentiated is usually where I start to get confused, and I'd appreciate it if you could delve into their differences a bit.

Actually the book example isn't too dubious, you can just imagine its the same book - since after thousands of books the number of bits per page averages out...just like human body weight :-)

Nice one Nostradamus, I see you're gonna try and predict the memory storage methods of the distant future lol.

Will we ever be able to store a bit on something smaller than an atom. I'd say the safe answer is: yes.

Will we even need bits? Go look up Quantum computers, you'll get it... If your QI is over 9000.

Great software, and the hardware for the device looks bad ass (although I would have personally liked a bigger screen). But it seems to me that a large portion of the user experience relies on your services. If I buy your device and your company does not have the success that it's reaching for, all of my stuff that is stored on your servers will go away and I'm just... stuck with a phone. Are the cloud services integrated with Dropbox? Would expandable storage have raised production costs? Perhaps you figured that would have defeated the purpose of a "cloud based" device. I'm keeping an eye on this...
