+My Damnxtion the chassis code says ae86 which in my opinion should be what classifies an 86 as an 86, because the reason everyone digs the car is the because the platform it was built on. the vin number has ae88 because usdm models had 88 if they were GT-S which is basically the counterpart to jdm 86. but 16v instead of 20. i think... that's what i've gathered anyway
