The thing about racing or advanced driving in general is one you do get
used to high speeds and car control at those speeds but two the only way
you learn your boundaries and the boundaries of the car is by pushing over
the limits and eventually fucking up, which is usually a costly
proposition. Crashing to me is less about personal injury and more about
financial loss but what you learn from it is invaluable.
The oddest thing about crashing though is that you never give up until
right before you hit, its just really controlled and composed. You always
think you are going to get grip or get the car under control then once the
impact happens you do a personal personal injury assessment followed by a
lot of cussing and berating yourself unless it was a force off, then you
are looking to beat some ass.
Well no but why would a normal person be in a C6R going into a turn at a
buck 70. I really can't think of a scenario were a normal untrained non
racer driver would be in this situation.
