Hey Midi we thought we would end with a bit of humour instead of the same
old 'brownies cooked, add cream , eat and they delicious sequence'. They
look like brownies lol :-) Ill post a pic if you really want to see. OR you
can make them and let me know how they turn out :-)
Almost world famous Chocolate Chip Cookies & apple slicing technique
Here is my recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies...(yes, the ones that I brought to ST3) 2 sticks butter (if salted, don't add salt...if unsalted, add 1 t. salt to batter) 1 1/2 ...
Hi Jim! Yup, you're right! I did make a batch with semi-sweet chips &
Reese's Peanut Butter Chips (1 bag each added instead of the milk chocolate
chips). We've had a very nice weekend. I was supposed to go out with
friends last night, but one got sick so we rescheduled for tomorrow pending
her feeling better (to see the movie Amelia). The boys and I were going to
go do something tonight, but we decided that we're all too lazy. Husband is
going to a party for work, so we're gonna hang at home. :)
I missed this comment somehohw Lesli...sorry! Re: my nails...I go about
every 5 weeks and have them done at a local salon. I get an acrylic fill
and then have them do a french manicure. It runs about $25 or so. They do
such a good job that I don't have to touch them in between and they never
lift. It's pretty cool. :) (I hate doing my own nails, so it's more of a
way for me to get out of having to do them than a vanity thing, lol.)
Those cookies were great Sandi and look good once again here! Thanks so
much for sharing the recipe. Didn't you make some with both chocolate chips
and peanut butter ships mixed in them? That melon scooper is a great idea
for apples. I hate trying to core an apple so I'll definitely give that a
try. Hope you're all having a nice weekend! -Jim
Hi Emily, Both turned out pretty good! As far as the spaghetti goes, the
only thing I did was chop the onion & add the worchestershire sauce...Jonny
did 100% of the rest of it (his first batch of spaghetti)! So, when the
time comes to start dating, he's got 1 date dish in his repertoire! It's a
start... S.
LOL Robert! They're really good...there's a little bit of a crispiness
around the edges and the middle stays soft without being mushy (if that
makes sense)...there's such a fine line... Glad you enjoyed the video! If
you make them, lemme know. I'd love to hear your review! Sandi
Ah, this was a food day. I ate a late lunch while watching this video. And
now I need a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. I've always been fond of
crunchy cookies, but these delicate little cookies you made would be enough
to make me switch to soft cookies forever.
Ya know, I don't think I got to try these! I wonder why i didn't get any? I
remember seeing them but I don't remember having any! Dang!! I can't
believe I missed these! They look soooo good! I will definitely be trying
this recipe!! Great to see you Sandi!!!
Sandi I went to see Amelia yesterday. It's gotten some bad reviews and
something like a 17% on rotten tomatoes but I really liked it. I don't
think it will win any academy awards but it's a good story and I thought
pretty good drama. Hope you like it.
Well, believe it or not...the apple was gone in about 10 minutes. We still
have more than half the cookies left. (Ok, so my husband was out for the
evening....otherwise the cookies would have been gone, too...definite
cookie-monster!)
Woo hoo i am so glad you did the recipe for those cookies they were so darn
good. That shot of the apple slices and the choc chip cookies sitting side
by side looked like so kind of temptation test. LOL I would so take the
cookie!
Digesting dinner here and now you have me thinking about cookies. This is
by no means a complaint, mind you. They look yummy! That apple looks like a
prop from "Land of the Giants" (and I gotta remember the melon baller
trick).
OMG Curt, I bought 3 of those apples, they came to 3 1/2 lbs! Huge I tell
ya! Just send me your address when you want cookies...I'll share... :) S.
(PS...missing your updates on FB & the Twit, just had to let you know!)
You got it Barb! The price of margerine & butter are so close now, that I
don't think it's worth saving a few cents to use the other. And the apple
was wonderful! Do you have fuji apples near you? Sweet & crunchy!
The cookies look wonderful. Butter makes the batter better!!! I remember
using crisco in my cookies, but they just weren't as tasty! The crack of
the apple got my mouth to watering! That is one big ass apple!!!
Sandi I did the matinee but I would still pay full price to see Amelia. I
really enjoyed the movie but was just pointing out that some didn't think
it was all that.
OMG I love chocolate chip cookies. i think I will just come to ST4 for that
next year LOL. The apple slicing was genius!! I am going to get a melon
baller scooper!
oh I'm going to try those. they look scruptious. ok, you're inspiring me to
get back into the kitchen. I really enjoyed this. gotta get me a kitchenaide
