I would pass on visiting this place if the average citizens can stand by and condone an act such as this...They obviously did nothing at all and there is no doubt plenty of people on hand to thwart an attempt to disrupt and dismember a person in the stands while the crowd probably cheers the villains on during half time extravaganza butcherings

It was an amateur game, so it probably wasn't huge crowds. But yeah, it seems likely that other people were there. They were probably scared out of their wits.

I thought it was a story from the Onion. But it's real. We have these kinds of violent crimes here- small groups attacking a victim or two- but not on the sports field in public. The authorities must have video-- I hope they prosecute. The hospital (or morgue?) workers must see a lot of this-- they seem so casual holding up body parts and trying to put him together. One worker was barefoot. They didn't stop the person filming. No regard for the boy's dignity, or his family. A terrible death.

not really, in the time you fire 1-2 shots and then think about actually shooting them, they might already overpower you if they run at you full speed. also you actually wounding one of them might enrage them further. even without that if you dont have a really good training with guns, your fear alone might make you miss alot, or just freeze. plus a crazy man coming at you full speed, wont feel the pain of the shot if you hit some nonvital part he will still reach unless you kill with 1 shot

? if he stabbed a player for not getting off the field I'd say he deserved it.There is most definately a better way to get a player off the field other than stabbing him. If he went to court he would have most likely just gone to prison for a long time if the justice system is anything like the US's. I'd say justice was served in a overkill fashion. The ref drew first blood and the fans went out to get revenge.since they were in a mob they fed off each others rage like a pack of dogs.

My aunt didn't want my cousin into soccer, even though he wanted to join the (american) football team instead, because she thought football was dangerous. So I showed her the video, and told her stuff like that happens all the time at soccer games. Since she is a soccer mom-type and therefore driven completely by emotion, my paper-thin charade worked.

Those are things to think about, although if a person is going to get a conceal and carry license then he should have average to above average training. And if they come to close, then it would be an appropriate to take action. In a situation like that, I would definitely want a firearm. Better than anything else.

There has to be a boycott now. This is horrific. Not only because of this, but because of the hundreds upon hundreds of street children who are systematically murdered by gunmen. Saddest thing is that a stadium full of people allowed this to happen. Not saying it condemns the culture of brazil , but it sure does not make you believe the country has a problem with this sort of thing happening Where are the authorities? Its one thing to kill the dude , takes time to mutilate the body . I assume security just watched or helped more likely. Another five years and they will be televising such atrocities on Brazilian TV. To be humane means nothing in todays selfish world.
