Errors! That is a new mass of Pope Paul VI. He did change Traditional Roman Catholic Liturgy to PROTESTant liturgy and clown mass and etc.

It sounds to me that your a believer yourself, in your case in loose historical "facts". There's absolutely no evidence that this apparation was made up by the Church, in fact it makes perfect sense that this story came from a converted native. A Christian would say, a real apparation. A non-Christian would say an imagined or made-up apparation by an overzealous convert to the faith. However, that's no different from the supernatural claims of any faith and of any miracle or divine intervention.

I like to see other cultures embrace their traditions. As a christian however, I weep for the people who claim to believe in Jesus and seek some one other than God to worship. Jesus says himself not to worship Him but the Father who He comes to teach us about. Too bad the image of Guadalupe was made up by the Spaniards to appease the Indians. Mexico was conquered in 1521,Guadalupe showed up 10 years later in 1531. There was an account of how the indians started to accept the Spanish and were converted by the thousands. Conveniently ,for the Spanish , the Indians never revolted again.. Classic case of the use of religion as an opiate. It's extremely sad that Mexicans to this day believe the Spanish lies.But it's their choice, may they do as they like

If it even makes sense to talk about a genocide in the Americas, it most surely wasn't done by the conquistadors in Latin America but rather by Anglo-Saxon colonists in North America. Conquistadors did their fair share of oppressing and killing but their policy was ultimately one of inclusion. Land ownership by natives was respected in courts of law, education was available to natives, etc. As for religion, the Catholic Church became a champion of native rights against wealthy land owners...

Servitude? That's not a good description of mainstream Christian worship. These are festivities and spiriually fulfilling rituals that don't take much time from people. Christianity does not have mandatory time-consuming daily routines. People in general waste time on all kinds of silly things. This procession is at least an interesting cultural and spiritual experience, It definitely beats smoking pot, drinking large amounts of alcohol for no good reason, mindless surfing of the web, etc.

You should go where you are personally getting CLOSER with God, if your church keeps you from a closer personal realtionship with our Lord. Leave. You will not find salvation in Mary. Read scritputure where you have learned of her... she was a virgin sure and in those days there were many virgins from which God could have chosen to birth our Lord. If you really want to go there with this argument, take my advice and do some research on Judaism. It will give you some perspective on the whole subject, speak to a rabbi about why he does not consider Jesus to be the Messiah. Once you learn that, you may be a little more reluctant to attack Catholics, since you mention the mitzvah's--but only a few of the 613 that are in the Bible.

cant you see the contradictions in your own comment, jesus said not to worship him but the father, yet the father came to earth as jesus so is jesus the father whom you should worship even though he told you not to? .
