Ok first of all 1 why send a horse to "something" or "some other farm" knowing they kill horses ? Ok 1 who would eat horses? I never met or saw anyone that would eat that. And trust me I've met someone that would eat deer or whatever but horses your F""king retarded eating horse. Like it says it's hart to put them down. BECAUSE YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO PUT THEM DOWN. I understand what you mean, and I also do agree to an extent, however I do get irritated by people like what you said, but i dont exactly hate them. And so what if they have a mollycoddled lifestyle? That is their problem, and it shouldn't really cause you to hate them considering it has nothing at all to do with you. Also, i dont really think he was being mollycoddle, he just feels bad for those horses, as do I; feeling bad for an animal doesnt necessarily mean he is pampering it.

I just happened to run into this vid. Based on the English used in these comments, they know nothing about Canada. Most people here are opposed to killing any horse, and we have been in a fight for years over the baby seals. Horse abuse is universal. It happens everywhere. Canadians DO NOT eat horse meat! Look in your own backyard before you vilify Canada. There is not a country on this planet that is free from such abuses. Canadians will keep trying to stop this, will you?

I find it very funny how you are trying to act smart when in some of your previous comments, you made a good amount of grammar mistakes. If English isn't your primary language, then what I just said is irrelevant. Also, what are you trying to do, just annoy other people by saying how much you like to eat the meat of one of their favorite animals? Seriously, you need to find something better to do than to sit behind a computer and amuse yourself by annoying other people.

People get fed up with seeing horses suffer, but it's all okay when pigs and cows that suffer, everything is okay. They have just the same capacity to suffer, but they have suffered their whole lives in farms instead of just the end like most horses. Just because people emotionally connect with equines better doesn't mean the suffering of other animals should be ignored. People really should know where their food comes from.

Humane slaughter? Is slaughter ever really humane? Why aren't people fighting for the cruel ways cows, pigs, and chickens are slaughtered, too? Is it because they're common fare in America? I heard horse meat is healthier than beef by far - I believe ALL animals need to be fought for, to have a better life and as SWIFT and fearless a slaughter as possible.

every animal is suffering during its way to your kitchen...and you can see it on fresh meat also. there are lots of bruises on it and this makes meat low quality. just think of what s*** you must eat just because how people care about animals during their transport and also in slaughterhouse...

I can't say I like horses with all the shitting and mess they make on the road. Im quite happy to eat them and wish the meat was more readily available as it tastes nicer than beef. We should intensively breed them to slaughter them in their prime for our gastronomic pleasure. Yum yum

This is awesome!!! I was born in Todo Santos and both of my parents were born and raised in Todo Santos.Though we moved to the states when I was little I know how to speak three languages. I am glad to be a Todo Santero. Showed this to my mother and could not stop smiling and loved River. Thanks Vice for sharing some of our Todo Santos history and traditions.
