BREAKING NEWS Canadian government stops distribution of penny coin - LAST DAY for the PENNY
2-4-2013 The end of the penny! Retailers are being told to round to the nearest nickel. The Canadian penny is being withdrawn from circulation. Did you ever ...
How will we pay for things in amounts not ending in a zero or a five? The
2012 federal budget states: "The government expects that businesses will
apply rounding for cash transactions in a fair and transparent manner." The
rounding will not be done on single items but on the total bill of sale. If
the price ends in a one, two, six, or seven it gets rounded down to 0 or 5;
and rounded up if it ends in three, four, eight or nine. Businesses will
not need to adjust their cash registers.
who will benefit from not making the penny, cashiers will take less time,
gov will save costs of manufacturing and distribution ,every thing is
always 1.99, 9.99, the business will round up[ costs going up] you make
interest at your bank they wont be able to credit your account $45.23,
probably will be $ 45.20, someone will be collecting all those penneys ?
I'm waiting for the time when we "tax coins" or something...some worthless
coin just for taxes and then they will round everything to the nearest 25
cents...they will remove the nickel = too big and not worth enough, dime =
too much value for being so small...quarters and paper only with tax coins
and gas will be 10 per gal.
pretty big news though wouldn't you say. I mean with the state of our world
currently, this is major event no? To be able to say you were alive when
they stopped making the penny...!! would be like talking to someone who was
alive when they created the Lincoln cent in 1909!! IMO :)
When I was a kid, you could buy penny-candy. Now, it costs more to make a
penny than its face value. It's called inflation, and is part of the
Rothschilds' Zionist Bank-sters' agenda. The demise of the penny is a
symptom of this disorder...
I want to empty my penny jar. How many pennies can be used for a purchase?
The Currency Act states: "A payment in coins … is a legal tender for no
more than … 25 cents if the denomination is one cent."
In Canada we already have plastic money which is replacing the paper money.
It's so thin, that two $20 bills together feels like one. You've got to be
real careful when checking how many you've got.
The US hasn't been able to part with their paper one dollar bill, so the
penny will remain. As for Canada, the penny should of been rid of 20 years
ago when we got the loonie. Good riddance, penny.
What's a penny worth? The government says it costs 1.6 cents to produce
each penny. Adjusted for inflation, an 1870 penny would be worth about 31
cents today.
You need to watch "The Crime that is Canada`s Banking System"on YT by Bill
Abrhams. He quite clearly explains that the Bank of Canada was brought into
being after Gerald Gratton McGeer threw the criminal banksters out, formed
the BofC which printed money for the Gov at 0% interest. That money was
spent into circulation through building the CN RR,The S.L.
Seaway,Schools,Hospitals etc..We need to do that again...no one in Gov has
the balls though!Watch the 4 videos, they`re great info!!
I won't get into what I would call my "breaking point" publicly. I've been
very much aware for many years just what is taking place. From the Police
protecting private interest first and foremost to having to provide every
detail of the transaction to purchase a money order. Unfortunately,we're
still the minority. We will never unite here in Canada for the simple fact
that multiculturalism does not work. So,for the time being,a cashless
society would be the last straw for me.
NZ used pounds, schillings, etc until the 1960s, when they moved over to
the NZD, a decimal system like we've used in Canada and the USA for
generations. Good video Derek, thank you. We're being moved toward a
cash-less world, where people who want to use real currency or money will
be the terrorists. If you don't want your entire life tracked and managed
for you, you're a bad person. Sick.
Amazingly, it was even more creepy than that. There was no Bank of Canada
during WWI (it did not come into existence until the mid-1930s), so the
government just allowed the major banks in Canada to issue notes that were
irredeemable in gold. They allowed the banks to back the notes with the
securities that they had on hand, mainly railroad securities!
We Australians lost our 1 and 2 cent pieces years ago and since then my
life has been a misery. I lay awake for hours pining over those little
coins. Take my advice Canada don't lose your 1 cent coin otherwise your
life will no longer be worth living. 1.2 million Australians committed
suicide when the coin was fazed out, it was that bad.
Hello. The vast inflation in Canada from 1914-1920 was due to WWI. On the
eve of WWI in August 1914 Canada went off of the gold standard, which
allowed banks to issue notes that were not redeemable in gold in order to
pay for the war. The US Federal Reserve did not really have that much of a
role on this event. Keep up the great videos!
My supplier of tin tried buying £2million worth of 2pence pieces. He was
going to export it to be melted down and profit off the scrap price. The
bank said no obviously but he also told me he got the idea from seeing
millions of copper coins exported to UK to be scrapped. I think they were
being scrapped from India but not sure.
I find the author of this article hilarious when they mention that cashless
tender would be safer. I have had my bank account raided twice and
interestingly enough ever since I got a card with that stupid chip in it. I
have never been held up or robbed or even pick pocketed.
No need in dropping the penny!! I have found a greater waste to cut first!!
Over a period of 64 years (including the 2013 budget request), the U.S. has
given Israel more than $115 billion in military and foreign aid, which
averages out to about $4.9 million a day.
Twice before, in Europe, I've seen it. They mess with the penny first and
all hell breaks loose in the prices. Just another way to screw us some
more. Canadians are saps and push-overs. We are going to get so reamed.
Going to be a nasty end of Summer.
I love the "well you can only carry so much gold" arguments against a gold
backed currency. So many idiots out there it kills me. Credit cards are
gold and platinum for a reason!
why EVERY copper penny is now worth at least 5 cents!
Copper!! :) I'm not any less interested in silver or gold, but copper has been interesting me a lot lately. Learning more about topics like coinage, semi-precious ...
Metal detector. :) pennies are as common as the grass they were lost in.
I'm in Texas and even here I find the occasional Canadian penny. Plus you
may find other items that retain their value, like silver and gold :) Now
that the coins have collectible, even a cheap detector would be worth
having. As they get scarce, it will be a windfall for people with a pile of
change in a jar.
+docchocobo really? In Texas. Cool. I find American coins sometimes when i get change from the store. And then other stores tel me they dont accept it. smh lol Its worth more then our money lol
I FOUND A GEORGE VI 1940 ONE PENNY AND ON BACK IT HAS BRITANNA AND IT'S AS
BIG AS A HALF A DOLLAR!!! IF ANYBODY CAN TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS COIN!!!!
AND IT'S WORTH? GEORGE HEAD ON ONESIDE AND BRITANNA ON THE OTHER!
What is the significance of this coin? I found one in my change and figured
WWII era coins ought to be worth something. I also found a 1946 silver
quarter.

not old? I am 32, honey. I'm not saying the original PlayStation is a bad system, just that the classic scheme looks funny on the PS4. If Nnitendo tried to put the classic scheme on the Wii or Wii U, I think that would look silly, as well. The GBA and DS, on the other hand, it looks pretty sweet. I have good memories of playing PS1 and 2 games, but I would not run out and buy this based on nostalgia.Good for you and those who are into this scheme, I have no issue with that, but it is my opinion that it looks silly.
Your not old than.... the first playstation is by far the best one sorry but its. True and its awesome the have a limited edition ps4 with the color scheme im definitely gonna get me one
Sounds like annotations might be acting a bit buggy. We've also posted the winners in the description as well. Will be selecting NEW winners this Friday!
If I didn't already own a PS4, I would be all over this limited edition
console. I honestly just hope that one of my friends nabs it in time so I
can bask in the beauty in person!
I found one of these as I was sweeping the house today. I am simply
astonished that there was a video dedicated to this particular coin. So,
it's worth what? 3 cents? LOL.
Have a blessed day, and thanks for taking the time to upload this.
