*BBC = CNN*
A few years ago: *BBC > CNN*
It's gone to shit. Propaganda constantly saying how other UK allies are so
glorious while denouncing Putin, a true leader. jajaja
+BRAVO ACTUAL Everyone knows the loud kid in the class, he's the most popular too.. but the quiet ones are the successful ones.. oh wait no, that doesn't work.. the whole superpower thing and giant drone army that didn't even exist a few years ago. Yeah I guess Canada is pretty irrelevant, still.
+Gustavo Ramos Sadly it has been going that way. With C51 and the conservatives foriegn policy (AKA How to be the U.S bitch), we aren't the same glorious nation we were 8 years ago.We always had a cropping of racist dumbasses, it's just now they are vocal since they have a voice in Ottawa.
+K LS Yes, you're right. Like I said, this is an "external" point of view. I've never visited canada or the us, therefore, I can't distinguish both very well. That's why I pointed that for most people, at least here in Brazil, they seems to be very close related.
+Gustavo Ramos Hardly, either you don't know Canada or you don't know the USA very well. We're certainly different in almost every respect, parliament, religion, multiculturesim, health care, maternity leave, education and the list goes on and on and on...
+BBC News I feel very rude now, my rather unintelligible point (which I find quite ironic this being the subject) was that I don't find this kind of "conversation/report" very constructive. That being: "Here is a complex subject, now tell us what you think of it in too few words to make any sense".Not my cup of Tea (hey 5 words!), but don't let that dissuade you guys as you always bring me and others a lot of great reports.
+Ralph Zimmermann Hey Ralph, this video is part of our Pop Up project which is currently being filmed in Canada. Feel free to check out this page for more info //www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/magazine-32969581

+Alex5362 Hey, not all of us voted for this fool. Why anyone would vote for Le Petit Dauphin is beyond me.
BBC Pop Up: At home with Canada's sled dogs - BBC News
Until the 1970s, it was impossible to travel around Canada's Yellowknife region in the winter if you weren't travelling by dogsled. Even though transportation ...
People don't sit on your hands anymore. Start movements giving the
politicians and law makers more pressure. Don't use violence but politely
expel Islam from your country.
Islam, no matter violent or not, no matter extreme or not, is a false
religion created by devil. It's just waiting for it's time to show it's
teeth.
this is exactly the kinds of actions ISIS was hoping to invoke, now they'll
try to get the US copy cats to start popping up, if we were smart we would
station law officials at every federal building hot spots fully armed to
send a clear statement, we are not going to become the UK
+BRAVO ACTUAL Due to no security reasons I am legally allowed to tell you that Teletext was a worldwide success around the world [Except in Canada and the US. It was couloured computer words and graphics. With LIVE NEWS,SPORT,WEATHER,GAMES TV INFO you name it they did it. The internet of it"s day from 1974 untill it"s closure in 2012 [when analougue TV in the UK was switched off! The journalists at Teletext would type reports just like I am typing now from the news wires, but with teletext you ONLY HAD 80 characters or 4 paragraphs of three lines. Go to BBC News the end of CEEFAX for it"s last seconds or youtube. I have just seen the standing ovation the speaker of the house got in your parliment today. Very Moving. How is Canada today. Happy, very sad, angary? Is Candiaian TV good? I would like to E-Mail you. I hope to hear from you soon Disabled UK viewer GOD BLESS!
Greetings from Ontario Canada. Due to security reasons I can't give my exact Lat. Long. (lol). Anyways, there's only a handful of open air channels that you can get in the entire country which is usually limited to one per 400km. Everything else is pay to use. I don't know what tele text is, i've never heard of it...
+BRAVO ACTUAL Yes the address was on youtube, from the CTV News Channel. I am a 50 year old disabled man with Cerbral Palsy and 13 operations since birth. But thank god no pain! I am automaticcly prsuming you are typing from Canada. If so may I ask where. Here in the UK since the UK ananalouge signal was switched off in 2013,we have upto 83 FREE channels and over 600 PAY TV channels.[Mostly owened by Rupert Murdoch. In the UK nearly ALL MAJOR SPORTING EVENTS are now on pay tv,British SKY Broadcasting,BT Sport,British Eurosport and ESPNUK [plus extra red button channels. What is it like in Canada? I live in New Milton in Hampshire in Southern England. You seem a very nice person and I hope to hear from you soon. GOD BLESS PS Did CBC TV have teletext. A live text service? Like the internet but with no videos?!
+garry simpson Hey, no worries, I've only got morning classes today. I don't think his address is on youtube, but I could be wrong. As for JTF2, that is Canada's Special Forces/Anti Terror Unit. Like Navy SEALS or SAS but with a bit more of the CIA Blackops type stuff.
+BRAVO ACTUAL Thank You again BRAVO ACTUAL. Ihave only just got back,So I did not see The Canidian Prime Ministers address.I will catch up with it now,if it is available on youtube As I am typing this it is 4.45pm GMT [British Winter Time] Forgive me for asking, but we don"t get a lot of news from Canada, what is or are the JTF2? Thanks again,GOD BLESS! I hope to hear from you again soon. Disabled UK viewer.
+garry simpson CBC still broadcasts Hokey Night In Canada, but it's now only on Saturday Nights. I don't watch sports, but since my Dad is a rabid Leafs fan, I was kind of out-voted on what to watch some nights. I don't know much about TSN except that there are 4 TSN channels. As for more information on what we have here, all I can suggest is google. About the event in St. Jean Sur Richelieu QC, Two Canadian Soldiers we run down and one was killed by a recent convert to extremist islam. THe suspect was later shot dead by police after a brief confrontation with a female officer. After hearing that and the shooting in Ottawa, i'm getting really fet up with this nonsense And after the Prime Minister's address last night, there will be blood. THose responsible are probably about to have a little meeting with some representatives from JTF2.
+BRAVO ACTUAL Thanks, BRAVO ACTUAL.I don"t watch a lot of news ['the only regular British news channel I watch is Channel Four News at 7pm Monday to Friday short buillitians on Saturday and Sunday.] I am an UK NHL Ice Hockey Fan.Does CBC still broadcast Hockey Night in Canada? Also what is the difference between ESPN USA [version] and TSN [The Sports Network] If you want to know about the history of British Broadcasting go to ITV In The Face youtube. Where can I go on youtube to see the history of Candiaian Broadcasting? I hope the Candiain Parliment is as free as the UK Parliment is. PS What happaned in St. Jean? This was not reported by Channel Four News at least. Love and best wishes to eveybody invovled. I hope to hear from you soon. GOD BLESS! PS When was the last time an NHL team from Canada won the Stanley Cup? I thought it was Toronto in 2002?
+garry simpson Both channels have commercials, but CTV provides more accurate information faster than CBC. CTV is owned by Bell Media Corp (who owns nearly half of all Canadian networks) while CBC is owned by the Government. It is very sad to hear about this especially as it's immediately after the event in St. Jean which may or may not be related (although the timing sure points to it being related). I am scared to see what will happen in the next few days especially when we still don't know what is going on.
+BRAVO ACTUAL Sorry I must explain I"m a disabled UK viewer, but I have been watching the coverage of both CBC and CTV. what is the difference between the two networks? Is CBC State commericial free broadcaster? Like BBC here in the UK? Whilst CTV is non-state with commericials like ITV here in the UK! Sorry about today"s events GOD BLESS!
Canada shooting: 3 Moncton policemen shot dead - BBC News
Subscribe to BBC News www.youtube.com/bbcnews A gunman has shot dead, 3 police officers, in south-eastern Canada. Another 2 officers - and a third person ...
so all i saw from this was a load of armed men hiding behind cars, if that
is 'looking; for a gunman they aint gonna find much lol
looks more like a photo op' than a manhunt lol
more fake news for you to be distracted by lmao!
+Darby PMP First off we do not have military grade weapons even though that was the Founding Fathers view since at the time they had military grade muskets and cannons. Second, idiots or not the Bill of Rights protects the freedoms and liberties of all Americans. How about actually enforcing the criminal codes / laws when a crime is committed. Last, owning a firearm does make you stronger or powerful allowing you to protect yourself, family, and property. It's the dumbass who has a cell phone waiting on the cops to come fill out a report who's screwed.
Canada those have guns and they do sell them but unlike in the US they don't allow any idiot to own one or own an army weapon. I wish in the US we fixed our gun problems because it is getting disgusting. In not saying the answer is to make guns illegal because guns can be used for hunting and animal control purposes but what i am saying is we shouldn't have pride in owning weapons that can kill many people at a time. At least the idea that military weapons should not be owned by anybody. Lastly the only thing that makes people buy those weapons is insecurity. Owning a gun doesn't make you strong or powerful it can show weakness. if the gun is taken away what else do you have? All you have is your own insecurity.
It proves that violence can occur anywhere. Small town, large cities. Of course our media is making this sound like gun violence is only a US issue...People need to learn to think.
Thank God this marijuana-crazed shooter has finaly been apprehended! This
whole incident just goes to show why we in Canada should NEVER
decriminalize or legalize marijuana. Smoking marijuana is directly to blame
for the shooter's rampage.
Truth... but if you really wanted to commit these crimes, your really don't need to own a a firearm. it's not impossible to sneak up on a police officer, kill or disable him with a kitchen knife and now your armed with a pistol and 3 mags, you also have the keys to the officers police car. and in their they keep all sorts of goodies in the trunk of a crusier like a couple of ar15's with 3 30 round mags per weapon .. Truth is you can stop free will... i know, i know, you wanna call me a bunch of bad words..
