Why do people always defend the prequels by saying: "they did something new"? Just because something is different or new doesn't make it good.

It's not that they are about his reading level....it's just that the politics aren't interesting enough to be worth investment.

+Allen Linnen, Jr. ...well there are problems with some of the execution of the Prequels, it has weakness particularly in the dialogue.but from the perspective of structure, and big themes, the prequel trilogy is actually deeper than the original...clear distinctions between good and bad disappear...and the world becomes far more grey...

+Mike Hunt yes...the TF was doing the blockade for profit...and they are being manipulated by Sidious.The blockade does NOT disappear when the main characters return to Naboo. That may be in your imagination, not in the movie.

The boring political scenes never explain how the Trade Federation works, what the TF is doing to the people on Naboo, why Nute Gunray is in cahoots with Darth Sidious, and why the blockade just disappears when the main characters return to Naboo.

Let's not forget about the karate (?) show (there was no karate, hence the ?), in which a racist stereotype "mom" of one of the main characters comes from their made-up, offensive stereotype of a country. I think it's supposed to be a mix of German and Islamic culture, but it's so racist that I almost changed the channel on the kids I babysat at the time. I was genuinely, 100% disgusted. Never has a children's TV show made me feel both uncomfortable and livid at the same time. As the laugh tracks played, I wanted to vomit. It's why I've stopped supporting anything on that channel (sorry, Gravity Falls). The fact that that abomination was actually released to the general public is saddening.

It wasn't classless it was a joke. Also Dustin has done so much for the LGBT community and is partially to thank for equality as far as gay marriage in the US. Whereas Sam has been ignorant to LGBTQ+ issues multiple times before, including DURING acceptance his speech which is odd for someone who wants to dedicate his award to the community.

Tthe only difference is he's famous, considering the fact that our society likes to hold onto the past, we will always remember when he was a chubs, which made him just a fine.
