Taxes to pay for roads, schools, military, political salaries, all fall under that "theft" that you so stupidly talk about AESir420. The asshole that is getting interviewed is so out of touch with reality, he obviously had mommy and daddy pay for his fucking education, and has never had to starve to pay the 20% loans that get slipped in without the students knowing about, or approving.The rich want to keep the market all to themselves, and are quite happy to watch America burn to keep everything

It's not the same system than in the U.S. We don't have " degrees ". but yeah i hear you bro. It's not the degrees that became worthless, it's the stupid capitalist system, killing the jobs, to make more profit. But i mean still here in France, if you're an engineer you'll find a job before finishing your education. Same thing if you're a doctor or a nurse etc... The people who don't find jobs are the ones who get degrees in business administration, marketing, communication, that kind of stuff.

Free education sounds nice, but as we all know, nothing is "free". If you're talking about public college education, all you have to do is look at public education K through 12. My father worked for the school board, he saw all sorts of abuses. Throwing out one time used supplies just to inflate the budget. Throwing out half filled food trays to inflate the budget. Passing troubled students just to get them out of the school. If you think college is expensive now..wait till it becomes public.

It would be the right thing to do to forgiven (written off) all college student loans and all home mortgages under a hundred thousand dollars. That is the least that the banksters and Wall Street crooks could do to make amends for the evil that they have committed against the common, working people and students of America. Then, all of the banks in America and the "FEDERAL RESERVE" (that are now privately owned) should be NATIONALIZED and returned to the ownership of the American Tax Payers.

Strange, how just by doing 10 minutes of research I can completely demolish your argument that france has better schooling. First point, according to world rankings in 2009 Reading, Math and Science France took 18th 16th and 20th respectively. While the U.S. took 14th 25th and 17th respectively and 14 of the top 20 universities are in the U.S. See, unlike you, I ACTUALLY did my research. So please, refrain from displaying your stupidity on the internet, we have enough of that already.

And i'm not saying our system is the best. I'm just saying that there are other alternatives to your education system. What you don't understand is that they are just using you to make a shitload of money, making students work for years to repay their loans. Education should be universal. You shouldn't need to pay 100k$ over a few years to get a proper education !!! But again it's an american trademark to give better chances in life to the rich kids and to sacrifice the poor ones.

I agree with you Adam. The purpose of capitalism is to capitalize on people and things. The definition of capitalize is: To take advantage of, or use for profit. Thus greedy selfish people tend to take advantage of others and anything they can to make a buck. The sad part is they don't have the morals, ethics, or wisdom to control their intelligence. It is not intelligent for one to sacrifice our health, safety, environment, or education to but a little money in your pocket.

Not even 50% of the students go to universities in France. We also have schools. Engineering schools, buziness schools, 5 years programs, you don't go to universities. You go to high school and then you go to a school. I've never stepped foot in a university. And those rankings are so stupid, you should check how they're made. It's nothing about the " quality " of the teaching, it's about research and other stuff ( which university god the most nobel prizes blabla ).

How many more "bubbles" and "bailouts" will you people tolerate before you all skip the politicians and corrupt courts and hold the criminals running the country accountable personally? Look at your finances. Already a huge chunk of your withholding goes to banks in continued bailout purchasing. How much interest do you pay these banks in predatory interest? They will not stop until 100% of your paycheck goes to the bank, by hook or crook doesn't matter to them!

Education is 100% Free in France. I work for a big company, and even your harvard kids aren't smarter than the kids who come from our best schools. So stop saying non-sense about things you don't know. Everything you do in the US revolve around money, even education. You never talk about anything other than money. To evaluate someone you talk about his paycheck and how much he makes ... There's something clearly wrong when you think about it ...

The big banks & banks in general wouldn't be so reckless if it weren't for the FDIC depositor guarantee. Why do they have to be sensible? The FDIC has guaranteed that they will step-in, flush w/cash & bail out every depositor up to $100,000.
