I feel the same G I'm 18 and music nowadays can't even stroke past this real hip hop 1974-1999 in mainstream and it's still lives in the underground but it's mad weak right now.
+Rickards Red Here we're talking about nas the "artist". His life and business venture decisions have nothing to do. I'm pleased with the amount of classics he dropped over the 20+ years and how he impacted my life in many situation through his rhymes. I'm sure even science can prove nas to be theee greatest... Word. Nas is number one then way down starts the second and downward. I'm not exaggerating. Listen to that first line. Not even the whole verse. Just that line yo, who can do better? Business wise he could have made a lot more money I agree.
+shonha1 instead of making hits hes ghostwriting for vultures and getting underpaid. u can be a cheap whore too. dont be unecessary cause im calling it out. its how i see it
+Rickards Red Bredrin, you sound confused as hell. First you accuse sun of whoring out for labels, now he didn't make enough money, and he's simping, whatever the hell that means. Like I said in my first comment, Nas has kept it real and Hip Hop even though he's been a mainstream artist all his career, he's repped the culture to the detriment of his own pockets. Your first comment made no sense and this one is even worse.
+shonha1 nas didnt make nearly as much money as he should have. nor did he get the label support to become a superstar. he went for the easy money and got simped. hes not a businessman, thats all
+Rickards Red What do you mean, "whored himself to labels", you do know that every Nas album including Illmatic was done while he was signed to a major record label right. Nas has been signed to a major his whole 20 plus yr career and as kept it as real as any mainstream artist has. Darkchild was expressing a wish that would also be as true with a plethora of other producers, not just Hi-Tek.
+Darkchild Nas whored himself to labels so no such luck til hes out of his deal
