not ironic at all buddy was a genuis sonny said he was.. without the late great buddy holly these songs would have been forgotton just shows the right singer guitarist can turn any song into a massive hit sonny wrote good songs BUDDY made them great

just goes to show how important BUDDY really was this song and rave on are what they are 2 of the greatest rockabilly/rock n roll songs because there was a BUDDY HOLLY. AND TO A LESSER EXTENT THE CRICKETS

+haulofrecords - Nor Va Jak was the name of the Norman Petty Studios. For a time Petty handled both Buddy and Sonny...so, the answer is YES

Are we talking about the same Sonny West? the singer Sonny lived in Texas, not Tennessee.
