Cool finds! Hey guy's I was just there in Galveston this past weekend and I was wondering if it's allowed to metal detect on the south side of the beach? Over by the rainforest cafe area?

Turned out to be a woman's ring...heavy 14K, 8.4 grams, with 13 diamonds...had 14 but one was missing. First good ring of the year...been tuff for jewelry along the coast in 2012.

Thanks Roger, I don't ever take for granted how fortunate we are to treasure hunt on Galveston Island. If it was closer I would be there every day.

Reminds me of my last time visiting Galveston. Found a really neat old toy horse that trip. I still have him in my China cabinet.
